Crazy the stuff we accumulate. My grandson is here for Thanksgiving (age 18) and he has put down smoking and is vaping. In support of this, in the past,
Kooper.jpg
I have given him stuff (juice, batteries, a charger) he is tough on things and lives with a girlfriend (her parents support no job and OK to play video games all day and no one in my family would support that) but anyway he has showed up again with no device and wants to hit mine.
I went to the multiple vaping stuff (3 boxes) I packed up so many moves ago (this does not include new and waiting to use stuff) and put something together for him. A Kooper I won in a contest and never used. An Innokin iSub tank (I had four new and unused that I bought years ago when I thought they were great) and a box of coils (again four boxes of coils) Just from stuff I considered no good anymore but could not make myself throw away.

Enough is enough, they need to end this Canada post labour dispute. :tumble:

They declined the bridge deal yesterday. The union boss' comments made my eyes roll.

He said that they have the highest injury rate in the federal sector. Surprise, we're comparing dudes walking around all day carrying letters and boxes against people sitting at a desk.

He also said women aren't getting paid without elaborating at all on that point. Apparently it has to due with contracted postmen/women have time limits to deliver along their route. And they want separate time allowances for men and women.

This isn't the olympics, I don't see how physical differences in genders can make or break their route times. And if we have different allowances for men and women, doesn't that give them a business case to only hire men because they're quicker?

For the Canada Post workers making roughly average wage, I think the $1,000 payment for delaying strikes until after Christmas would have helped a lot. I don't see how a union boss sitting in an office doing nothing but meeting people all day has any idea of what the workers want or need. I'm still bitter that they wanted to vote on the deal proposed late last week but the union boss said no.

Agreed. I predict the government will order them back to work by Friday if no deal is reached.

I placed another order from Albert last week, he shipped the same day and my eta was the 23rd. This morning that has changed to the 27th, 12 days to get to Kitchener??

My doors from Carolina were in Mississauga. They went from estimated next day to estimated 10 days out. I got it in 2-3 days.

I think at this point the ETA is just arbitrary. My billetbox has been showing next day for the last 3 days. Each day it just gets a day added so I have no faith in its accuracy.

We went to o'Charleys maybe more than 10years ago and had turkey with dressing with cranberry sauce.:) did I change your mine yet? Maybe throw in a greenbean casserole.

@VapourFlavour

Strikes also continue in Kelowna, B.C., and have ended in Kitchener, Ont.

That might be it. Didn't even realize they've been on strike in our city because stuff has been so backed up it hasn't made a difference.

No, dislike turkey. Make dressing when the urge hits, like my green beans fresh and crisp, only like vaping cranberry. Thinking pasta will win the day.

Try spatchcocked goose with flageolet beans, glazed carrots and some baked/braised chestnuts (from under the goose). Next day is leftovers with potato cubes fried in goose fat

Think that's what I'll be doing this year around xmas.

I'm a fan of my dad's porcine themed Christmas dinners :hubba: (not so much the karaoke though)

Unfortunately for this year, I think we're only going to be going to my cousin. Gluten free vegan. They're nice enough to cook a Turkey for us, but since they've gone granola their meat cooking hasn't been as good.
