I wanted one for so long. I was planning on getting a custom one done but the site closed up (i'm guessing they went on holiday?) -- for the quality they're super affordable too.

The texture on that black one makes me super jelly.
Yeah, the quality is top notch. He does really nice work and fabricates the sled and custom engineers the internals. I was too impatient to wait for him to do a custom logo so I just went with what they had in stock at the time. I was lucky to get that black texture finish. I bought a Cadet series box in gunmetal with some fleck, too. Was always planning to send the door on the Ranger back for graphics but never got around to it. The price on them has come down over the past couple of years so they're really a steal now for what you get.

The potentiometer on the Hexohm will not be as precise as the variable wattage adjustment found on the Dicodes. As you can see with the below picture there are only 10 increments which the output will be dependent on the resistance of your coil. You can use an Ohms Law calculator to find what that output will be in watts. Example: A 1 ohm coil at the 10% setting will yield 11.2 watts. Not necessarily a bad thing, but with low wattage vaping a little more effort maybe needed to find your preferred wattage in comparison to the Dicodes where you are allowed to adjust in 0.5 increment’s.

This is very useful. Thank you. I'm doing lots of calculations to see how low I'd have to set the voltage to vape where I like. I'm using the Zenith tank exclusively, and it looks like the 1.6 ohm coil would accommodate my preferences best.

If you are just wanting to try a pot mod the Dovpo VEE or MVV would be a good one and only about 30.00.

Thank you for the recommendations. The thing is, I'm specifically interested in a mod without a screen. I see that the MVV's screen is only a battery indicator (which is really nice to have, and missing from both the VEE and the Hexohm 3.0), so it wouldn't be the end of the world if it failed.

Both Dovpos have an on/off switch on the outside, which I would prefer to the Hexohm's switch, which is under the battery cover.

I guess it comes down to price. I do love the utter simplicity of the Hexohm 3.0, but I should probably get the cheaper mod and see if I even like voltage vaping before I shell out almost two hundred bucks for the Hexohm. Love that lifetime warranty, though.

No matter--that just means the Dani Box Mini might make the cut, after all.

I got my SX Mini SL! It feels really good in the hand. Didn't start up right away, which worried me, but it's because it was cold, I think.

The color screen is startling, and I worry that the extra complexity involved in the electronics could make the device more prone to failure. I don't know if that's true, but I always think simpler machines last longer, because there are fewer things to go wrong. I may be mistaken about this, of course.

The joy stick is responsive but feels fragile to me. Could be that I'm just unfamiliar with it, though.

One unimportant disappointment is that the metal bar doesn't sit entirely flush against the tube on the top half of one side. Shoddy workmanship for the price, if you ask me.

Now, will I pack this up and set it aside for the future or start using it right away? All my life, I've tended to save best for last. But if I use my cheaper mods regularly now, who knows if I'll live long enough to start enjoying the fancier ones? Will the electronics fail over time even if the device isn't used?

I have Picos and assorted others in the closet. I’m enjoying my good mods now. If time turns out to be against the electronics, I’d rather have gotten my $$$ worth out of my beauties, not the backups/loaners I got cheap.

Won't play.:(
Played for me on mobile. Btw, your kitty posts have gotten me in trouble. Have a middle aged kitty moving in after Christmas. Her owner passed away and she was living at the vet’s. She’s a very vocal fluffy tortoise

My new eleaf pico 25 arrived today. Unlike my other mods, it has temperature capability. Don't really know anything about how that works. I am a mtl vaper who vapes, depending on the mod and coil between 10 and 15 watts. What temperature would be appropriate to start with?

I did like the Bears until I believe it was 2006, when the Saints went to soldier field for the NFC championship. There were fans there with signs that read "let's finish what Katrina started" and I personally know people who attended that game, and told me the Bears fans were extremely rude, and crass, especially with the Katrina comments. (not meaning you or anyone on this forum) Just remember, the road to the Super bowl goes thru NOLA. WHODAT!!!!!

Just to show the difference, I recently read an article in my local paper that was written by Falcon fans attending a game in the Superdome. They wrote that Saints fans told them "hey, come over here". They were expecting to be talked bad about, but these Atlanta fans wrote, that the Saints fans offered them food and beverages and laughed and joked with them.
Well it sounds like there was some idiots at that game. Don’t judge the Bears for the actions of some drunken ...... with extremely bad taste. I don’t know if they were in fact drunken but I would think so to have the audacity to display a sign making light of a tragedy. Now I feel bad that my Bears will have to come into your stadium and crush your dreams of another Super Bowl.
Anyways I’ll end this with a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you all enjoy the holidays with your friends and families.

The 510 is removable is why it sits the same as the bottom battery door.;)

Good to know, but I think I'm talking about something else: When I turn the mod so the screen is facing right, on the rectangular portion, starting just above the "SL Class" stamp, there is a very slight gap between the metal and the tube that increases as it goes up (the other side is noticeably tighter). It's tiny, and I will stop noticing it, but it's always sad when a fresh shiny has a flaw, however small.

I've had some trouble getting the mod to turn on. When I first installed the battery, "SX Mini [etc.]" flashed on the screen and then nothing. I had to remove and reseat the battery several times before things got going. Then, after fooling around with it for a bit, I turned the mod off and removed the battery, thinking I was going to sock my new toy away for a rainy day. A bit later, I decided I wanted to play with it some more, and, yet again, when I installed a battery, the same thing happened: "SX Mini" for a bit and then nothing. Once more, I had to remove and reinstall the battery a few times before the five clicks worked and I could vape. Could this be because I'm using an 18650 in the sleeve?

I swear, it's fun getting new stuff, but I'm looking forward to the time when I've settled into a comfortable rut and can quietly puff away without this stress.

That's the way I'm leaning. As I've gotten older, I've begun eating what I like best on the plate first. Carpe diem should apply to vape gear, too (though the Kroma will remain in rotation since it has an internal battery that I might as well use up while I can).

Thank goodness! The two prompt, diametrically opposed bits of advice were making my head spin.

@tgs3, make sure your coil supports temperature control, too. The Zenith tank, for example, has a coil that uses kanthal, so TC is out. (Note: if you're a builder and know all this already, I apologize for these two cents.)

I usually start about about 380F and work my way up.. usually end about between 400 to 420. Watts from 12 to 15 usually
