Nice to see it up close. I thought the finish was more matte, but compared to the mod it looks shiny. Definitely going to pick it up.

Have you tried round wire builds in it?

Not yet, just this slightly jacked fralien so far.

I'm sure round wire would rock, though. I'd recommend a 3mm ID to adequately fill up the wicking channels. There's plenty of room.

That's why they stabalize it. As long as you get North American wood you should be fine.

I'd suggest starting with door panels and seeing how it goes from there.

The point of stabilizing wood is to make it resistant to things like humidity.. it becomes stable and doesn't swell with absorbed water or contract with evaporation.

The Brizo (pretty sure you're not referring to the Gear, ha)? The white brass doesn't really show prints and goop like polished stainless does. It's held a nice finish without much tarnish, too. I just give it a light buff with a microfiber cloth once in a while. Haven't taken the brass polish to it yet and it gets used almost daily.
