Got -8 here.
-5 this morning, and no frozen pipes! I’ll be glad to see normal temps again. Even with all the ventless gas heaters blasting, my furnace has not stopped running. I’m scared to think what the gas bill is going to look like.
Yesterday my furnace ran nonstop and it could only keep my house 65 degrees. This is too cold, my dog ran outside to do her business, squatted, and on her way back was limping. I think because her paws were numb with cold. She was outside for 30 seconds tops.
Same here. My dogs are small. I put coats on them to go out, but they’re limping coming in. And their poor ears! I only put them out twice yesterday, then I made them use potty pads.
Hey Shineys, hope you are all well. I’ve gotten to catching up to page 2495 and just gave up on this foolish persuit. You guys are relentless posters. Easily blamed on stols though.
Damn! I hate mornings. Sydney let a wren in the house, and I had to fight off the cats before we could get it back outside. I learned two things: one of my cats can almost fly as well as a bird and the other one is too fat to do much of anything.
Good morning freezers. Not quite as bad here, but bad enough to make me appreciate apartment building life with unlimited heat. 2 degrees and -17 wind chill waking up here.
What is up with all the freezing everywhere? Climate change seems to be doing its work.
It’s 1 degree here, I hardly have to turn on the radiator. Being this close to freezing temperature it can get a bit slippery though. The situation across the Atlantic looks crazy.

I know right! I'm sitting outside in just my shorts drinking iced drinks and thinking of jumping in the pool, the pool is a nice cool 24c. It's 10:17 pm.
24C sounds like heaven. Heck, 24F sounds good about now!
-4f now. That isn’t unheard of in these parts, but it does seem there were a few years it didn’t get that cold.

We were hoping to break the zero barrier today. Close, but no banana. To make matters worse, tracking on my new mech hasn't budged since... ever. Priority mail can be slow to scan and then surprise you, so I'm telling myself that to help me trudge through the frozen crust on the drift of disappointment. Too much? Is cabin fever a thing?

oh and i forgot to mention earlier...when i turn the heating on my gas stove stops working.

BBQ beans have some emergent heating properties, too. Wise choice.
Bank finally returned all of my money! The grand total from both incidents was almost 500 bucks! Intake is already ordered and will be arriving monday. I'm thinking about getting the Visticking, I want another Yihi board. Anybody?
