morning all.
back to work thursday after a looooooooooong time sick/injured. mixed feelings.
some coilology, err, coils got from FT (like that set...decent for the money) along with two cheap jigs gotten before the 10% off ended.
i seemingly rewick the gear rta every day. not enjoying current elevate setup either. worse things happen at sea etc.
Good luck with work. I wa just trying to remember when I got my gear. Two weeks? I have not changed the cotton yet. I’m using a mint vanilla diy that ive been mixing for 7-8 months, used it pretty much daily. I can get a few days on a wick with it normally, so why suddenly two weeks?

Only difference is, it’s been in TCR on the Colossal.

Now, it does seem I get more mileage from cotton on the Paranormals too, but never two weeks. Next time I rewick, I’ll reset the puff counter just for grins. It’s reading 838, but I’m not sure how many are from a different tank.

plenty of mosfet boards available on modding sites should you feel like a project.
Forgive my ignorance but am assuming a mosfet board is one that will fit in a mech? Thanks for the info though. If this was easily done it may be a workable solution :)

not a 'true' mech if it has a mosfet (there shouldn't even really be wires though i await the influx of mech heads trampling around) but a wee bit of protection is sometimes a good thing...

Good morning shiners! Another day, another sloppy storm moving through. At least where I am it'll mostly change to rain at the end so no big accumulation of snow but a lot more slush. Tough to decide which is worse.

We got both overnight, so it was a sheet of ice this morning. Poor Rudy, I had to carry him out and back. It’s raining now, seems like it should melt it all off pretty soon.

All my weird hobbies with their Klingon languages... I was trying to reply to a knitting question in my sock group. Predictive text gave my stitches more flavor in DL weight yarn.

a stainless cthulhu tube mod will be incoming. pre-ordered on HG (with a 15% discount using HeavenGifts15) for $34.05 shipped which is cheaper than the cthulhu site. 18650/18350. mosfet equipped. dinky. last shiny for the month.

I preordered mine last month! Super excited.

I bought something else and the guy added in 4 18350 batteries to trap me into buying it. Also ended up buying a Gear RTA to use with the Cthulu.

I'm a huge fan of mosfet mods. I wish there was more of them but that share the look of a hybrid tube.

Might have to buy those old school kick things.

Of course not a true mech :) but certainly may help in the use of those mech's with no venting!!

The kicks won't go above around 12 watts though so not an option for many!

First shinies in a while:

Ordered a Goon 25 using my $20 coupon, ended up being $29:

Also ordered 3 bullet caps... B2K, Goon 25, and Profile. I hated the profile, still hate it for squonking. Using it to drip on a regulated device it has been usable though. Ordered it because I have that super ugly rainbow cap. They look like this:

Do you dislike the Profile rda due to the new cap, or did you just hate it overall? I've been hesitate to pull the trigger on one even after reading all the raving reviews on it. Also, is that bottom pic with the glass cap a Cosmonaut?

I dislike the profile because I don't find its performance to be that good. I had only used it to Squonk though, dripping it's passable.

The new cap hasn't arrived yet. In the picture I think it's on a CSMNT, but they sell it for at least another dozen RDAs including the Profile, B2K, and Goon 25.

Morning all

@dom qp - You discussing the Wotofo Profile RDA? If so given the amount of cotton that is needed it certainly squonks differently than a typical coil. Also because the wick is directly above the squonk pin, it creates a bit of back pressure - you have to squeeze the squonk bottle harder and longer than a typical coil. I personally do not find this to be an issue, just a slight learning curve over what I am used to.

As for the vape – I do find it to be a bit aggressive when used with an unregulated or mech – performs much better on a regulated device in the 40 to 60 watts region

Thanks! I was torn whether I should get it or not. As happy as I am with my Goons, Cosmonauts, and Drop drippers I just couldn't imagine the Profile being that much better if it was at all.

It really depends on who you talk to. I have the mesh pro and love it. @Spydro is the connoisseur as he uses about 5 of them (profiles) on a regular basis :)

That's the thing. I think if you're coming from a tank, drop in coils, or RDAs where you use pretty mild builds the increased surface area makes it seem like the second coming.

But compared to a good RDA with a high surface area build, like a multicore clapton, stapled clapton, ribbon, or something like that, it's nothing special.

You get the downsides from squonking that were mentioned above for no additional performance. Dripping it's alright, but otherwise it's just a run of the mill RDA.

In my opinion anyways. Which depending on where you post or who reads it, you may not be allowed to have.

So it's snowing, I'm bored, and decided to do something I rarely do, take a photo of today's lineup. Going all squonk today.

Maybe I'll have to add something else in the late evening if I get tired of these, but both are quite tasty and I'm enjoying squonking for the time being.
