Well, good morning all! All alone since 2pm yesterday ... got some chores done, went grocery shopping, had junk food, read some, and went to bed. I would like to say I slept through the night, but I did wake a couple times hearing my mother call for me ... only she's not here, she's at my brother's place ... stupid brain. Still, it was more sleep than usual and feeling pretty good today.

The big plus is that I stopped at a bar on the way home from grocery shopping and threw a bit of money into the video lotto terminal as a mindless diversion while the hockey game was on the big screen ... came home 600 bucks richer than when I left. I think I'll do a bit of shiny shopping now :)

Oh that $600 winnings is already spent in my fantasy world lol!!

Makes you think. Not sure what I would buy if I had unlimited money. I've seen a few mods that made me drool, just by their appearance. tanks are a bit different. I might have tried some authentic Kayfuns rather than $10 KFL clones.

Some people on ECF buy everything that comes out. They can afford it and they enjoy it so good for them. And they can report back to the rest of us.

I've got a vast collection of 8 Provari 2.5's. Spent years getting them together. If I could have bought one of every model and color without thinking about the cost I don't think I would have got half as much pleasure out of having them.

I've heard about those exclusive FB groups but never visited one. You would have to put a gun to my head to get me in there.

There were a couple of short periods in my life when I was single and raking in the money, like being a software guy in the last couple of years before Y2K. Even then I couldn't shake the habit of being frugal though. Or maybe it was the 80 hour weeks. Now I'm retired on a fixed income so I guess a lifetime of frugal was good training. And I've got enough KFL's to last through my next couple of lifetimes.
Frugal is always good. Wasteful spending is gross. I retired two years before I planned to (at 58). Money is not a problem but I still balk at buying a dinner out when I can eat at home (unless it is a social occasion) and both my grandson and my daughter know when we do go out to eat please order water with your meal. I stock pile and haul away my own recyclables because I do not want to pay the $35 a month to have them picked up. My mom also was raised without running water and plumbing and she taught me well. You just never know what is ahead.

Where do you get the clear doors? Can't find them on the site, only frosted.
That one is actually lightly frosted. It probably looks more clear due to the lighting and filters I applied in the image. The lightly frosted doors I have came with my V1 and V2 boxes. They don't make them anymore, but they wouldn't fit the last gen V3 boxes anyway since they're slightly wider.

I don't get it.. I really don't.

Your upset that you grew up rich and able to afford things the majority of us couldn't even consider?

Am I supposed to feel sorry for you?

Or am I supposed to think handbags should be less expensive?

I don't care about the cost of scarves and handbags, and I dont care about high end vape gear either.

My first AND second year of vaping I spent 335 dollars per year, on batteries, juice and everything I needed to vape. I spent far less last year.

Vaping isn't a rich person only game.. It's a stop smoking game.. you can spend what you like on it, a lot or a little.

I don't have it in me to be offended about how the other half lives.

My husband didn't have electricity, running water or indoor plumbing when he grew up.. I'm just not into caring about the same things you do - obviously.
I wasn't born rich. My father worked his .... off. But I was born with the gift of Perfect Timing. Something so elusive you don't see it until late in life. As if job offers, and other opportunities fell into my lap and took them. It wasn't always a free ride, but when I needed it the most, Destiny or Fate, or whatever you want to call it knocked at my door. It's hard to digest, I know, that's why I try not to say too much about it. Sorry, hard to relate, but it's my nature to constantly defy things, and that's what probably lands me these things.

Yeah. Both my grandfathers were coal miners, before the unions came along. They all had to show up at the gate at the start of each shift and if there was work that day they would let you in. If you were injured a manager would drive you home and that was all you got. If you ran out of food you went knocking on doors until you found someone who could spare you some bread or a few vegetables. My parents lived through the war and 10 years of food rationing. The kind of attitude all that instills is passed down for generations.

@Opinionated Can I tag you to say please don't go?

I remember Grimm saying in one of his vids that he dropped his Revenant Cartel and broke the battery cover on it while he was on some bro trip with Ohmboy. I was bummed even though I hadn't even bought one.

Speaking about Kayfuns, I have a great story about that time.
Due to the fluctuating dollar in Argentina, all vaping products one moment are affordable and the next unattainable.
I got my first KFL as a clone from FT. My 3rd rebuildable, and I wasn't sure I could make it work. Turned out I did, so I bought an original. But I had only one (plus the clone) and I wanted another one. So someone here on the forum (can't recall the name, sorry) said: Why not buy the base? The chimney and the rest from the clone fit perfectly. And I did. Had 3 original bases and a bunch of tanks that fit those bases... And that the story of the Kayfun on a budget!

Not just vaping, but everything in general has to fit your lifestyle and the place you live. Not long ago the Billet Box I was vaping on was snatch by a woman sitting next to me.

Argentina has this fluctuations. When things go great, they go really great. And that affects my vaping too. No use having gear I just have to use at home, or on the event of a fall gets destroyed.

My vaping gear, as well as my clothes, car and home decor fluctuate to reflect the times. You'll sometimes see me with very cheapo gear, and others with things that make me feel guilty, but I bought them because I was really in love with it.

If you can find a V1/2 door, maybe you could sand it down. Sounds like a lot of trouble, IMO.
Got the tools. No sweat! Thing is, seems it comes with V2, but there are a lot of acrylic sellers, just make a template of the door the mod comes with, just in case.

How much do you mix, and what mg? Since I'm not getting WTA I'm mixing 10, 15 and 20mg, for instance 500 ml of 10, 300 ml of 15 and 200 ml of 20, to use depending on power used and device. I find I have too many flavors so 20 is unflavored to mix with other flavors for nic hit.

Some of us wait and see what owners think of their mods after some time in use, to make sure we are making a solid purchase..

What Grimm Green or any other youtuber thinks is meaningless to me..

You buy your way. I'll buy mine.

Take care...

I don’t care about reviewers opinions, but I watch to see the functionality of the gear. Preference is personal.

And I buy what appeals to me. I have not ever sat at the cool kids table. I have never envied anyone’s belongings. I hate clubs and cliques of any sort. Well, except the AsMODus owners club, that one is great, but anyone can join. It’s not a snob fest.

But I don’t know... I’m either blessed or cursed that I have never cared for anyone’s approval. I have nothing to prove.

I kind of think that people who need that feeling of inclusion among the exclusive people don’t really have a sense of self, or are willing to sell themselves out to people they deem more worthy than they are. Sad, really.

I don’t care how rich I might ever be, I’ll be wearing jeans I got on sale, a free vape shirt, and a hoodie. And it’ll be a cold day in hades before I wait two years for an overpriced handbag that I need to befriend an associate and be granted an invitation to buy.

Same would go for vape gear or anything else. If a company is too snooty to take my money I’ll spend it elsewhere.
