I don't understand how a wonky keyboard could cause all the problems I was experiencing. I accept that it did but am inclined to think that darke magicks were involved. Regardless, I'm quite happy to be back using this older keyboard. It's much better than the new-and-improved version. I'll be very sad when it and its backup break.

I'm glad you have replacement going, and while I'm willing to believe in the Darkest Majicks theory, it is not actually a stretch to also believe a wonky keyboard sending random rapid inputs to your computer would maybe cause exactly the shenanigans you observed. :) Come to think of it, these are not incompatible theories.

My day has been filled with an external hard drive that makes funny noises and randomly unmounts itself (upon which the Mac scolds me for unmounting it without 'ejecting' it first. "That will cause problems with the filesystem!" Gee, ya think, Mac?)

It's a backup drive, and if it isn't an actual hardware problem I'd like it to continue being a backup drive, but it is for sure not my only backup tyvm.

What WERE you thinking lol? That was a peach AH! Our mechanic friend is rehabbing to sell an early 70’s vette (not sure of the year), that I moon over every time we drop by. Himself pointed out (rather cruelly in my estimation), “At our age? With your back? You’d never be able to get out of it.” I suggested we buy it anyway, and he could just bury me in it . I guess we never outgrow the hotrods of our youth <sigh>

"I guess we never outgrow the hotrods of our youth <sigh>"

Couldn't agree more with those true words. I guess this is where I should say in support of your interest in it that "you only live once". ;) For me getting out of mine is still doable, it's getting in it that requires 'a Keystone Kops system' (the youngsters here probably don't know who they were). At 6-1 I have to take the drivers side T-Top out, get in and then reinstall it (easy enough to do). IOW, I'm not flexible enough anymore to duck under the T-Top in a vehicle that only sits inches off the ground. My so called daily driver is a mint 20 year old truck that has less than 51K miles on it. I have owned it for going on 17 years, but it is also getting harder to 'duck' into. It's a very reliable-comfortable ride and nobody pays any attention to it when I drive it (why I've kept it for so long).

Another one I wish I had back was my very first hot rod in 1962... a '49 Merc Lead Sled that was chopped and lowered.

@pericat, could be a lot of things with that external HDD. Is it USB powered?
Yes? USB3, and it gets its power from whatever it is plugged into. It is not solid state. I swapped to a regular USB cable to attach it to my partner's iMac and finally got it to stick long enough to reformat, then back up to my laptop to go a few rounds of first aid and another reformat because her OS is a couple versions behind mine. At the end it would finally mount and unmount when told to do so, and I figure I'll look at it again in the morning. I have multiple cables and attachment points, and don't think those are at fault.

@Zazie, is it a desktop or netbook your having problems with?

And also a really nice keyboard with trackpad that I can recommend highly.
Logitech K830 Illuminated Wireless Keyboard for HTPCs and MediaICenters
It turned out that the problem was the keyboard, an Adesso 4110. I disliked it from the moment I got it, back in January, as it was glitchy from the get-go (the cursor would randomly freeze, and I'd have to hit a key to get it going again). Don't know why it went completely bonkers today.

Since 2010, I have had many exemplars of the earlier model, the 4100. They tended not to last much more than a year but are very comfortable to use, and, between the Adesso warranty and the Square Trade warranties I always buy for backup, I haven't lost too much money on them. I've considered Logitechs but would have a hellish time getting used to having the touchpad off to the right. It seems really awkward to have to move away from the home keys to reach it, and I'd miss the wrist support. I can't imagine why anyone thought that design was a good idea, especially with people being accustomed to the layout of laptop keyboards. Still, if Adessos become even less durable, I may have to make the switch, however reluctantly.

I have three Aromamizers Supremes V2. I hate two of them and they are the ones with the post-less deck and I love the one with a velocity deck. Not sure if it is just me or what but I really feel like they vape differently. This being the case I had to order a fourth. Velocity deck from 3F. Not $10 but only $28.
Lol.
Probably best just to order the replacement $10 velocity deck from ft for the others.
I've had no issue with the flat deck.
Popped a couple of 2.5mm, 0.5 ohms claptons in and at around 0.25ohms he's vaping like a champ at 70w. It's a steam crave and wicks like a champ.
To be honest I only tend to dig them out to test higher vg juices but they're always reliable.

It is a Vision Spinner 3 it has a white light that blinks 3 time but i think i just found out the problem where id put my cartridge the wire is no longer attached to the 510 thread so i'm not sure if there is a way i can put it back together or not.

If you've got an exposed wire just buy a new one. Those aren't very expensive..

@WyattR9123, from what I've found out. It points to a 510 issue, closest thing I found is where it's over tightened and causes a short issue. But you've noticed that the connector has failed, so it's probably been shorting. If you get another don't tighten it as much, as over tightening seems to cause problems.

@pericat, are you using the HDD with a USB 3.0 port?

@Zazie, not much choice on keyboards with trackpads / trackballs. Too many wireless keyboards and mice though, the only problem with that is if you can find one you can't find the other.

I think vendors are reading this thread and saying, " Ooh, let's ship really fast so those shiny people will buy lots more stuff."

I can't believe orders from ecig city and vaporrange shipped so quickly. Guess I will see how I like those royal hunters and the Spruzza.

I gotta sell some stuff, this is ridiculous.

Yes I do know that and considered it. But I am not so sure I just don't hate these Aromamizers and need to just buy the whole thing just in case the others are just bad. Crazy I know.
Do you think there is much difference in the velocity deck and the post-less?

Good morning shiners! Finally sunny today, and should warm up beyond 60. That's something.

@rosesense sell stuff?? But, but, what if you need it somewhere down the road?

If I need it down the road, I will just go to the other storage facility and get a duplicate.
