So.. vape related question..

For those who bought some of those sale royal hunter rda'S, where are you getting the squonk pins from?

Do we know which pins will work best? fasttech has replacement Goon squonk pins that might be a good choice, but I don't know about length...

So has anyone figured this out yet? I thought to go ahead and buy some pins now so it all gets here at the same time..

Most modern RDA's come ready with a squonk pin.. either in the RDA itself already, or in the little bag of spare parts..

But the older RDA's don't usually have squonk pins with them.. now, they are all 510 so that should never be an issue, my concern is length I think, as to whether pins would be interchangeable between RDA's..

If those were OG Royal Hunters, they have no squonk capability. You have to drill straight through the center post at the cross section. As for a squonk pin, the one from the Tobecco Velocity Mini fits perfectly.

It's a very dated and not all that great of an RDA. The anti-spitback drip tip looks awesome on it but collects juice. Replace one of the green o-rings with a black one or you'll never get the barrel off. ;)

Interesting.. some people thought it had great flavor, but I did hear about juice collecting

So okay, you have to drill on the build deck itself for it to squonk?

So it's far more than just a pin to get it to squonk..

Hmmm.. I guess I didn't think that through..

Any tricks to get the barrel off an rda that seems stuck from the get go? I have a new one that I cannot get off and I don't want to break anything.
Try putting in the freezer for a few minutes. The barrel will warm in your hands and expand a bit when you take it out.

Has anyone ever had a mail carrier leave one package on the porch and one in the mailbox? Just seems weird to me.
Delivery/postal people make questionable decisions all the time.

My friend just had a coffee table delivered yesterday ... she's handicapped and by the time she got to the door, the postal delivery guy had left the long, heavy box propped directly against the outside door so she couldn't even open it to yell at him as he jumped in his truck and drove off. Took her about half an hour to work the door open enough to lower the upper end of the box to the ground, push it to the side to open the door all the way, and eventually drag the box inside ... just in time for an exhausted cab ride to her doctor's appointment. Boy, was she .......

It had good flavor for the time, but it's time has come and gone IMHO.

Anytime I see any awesome dealies on older RDAs, the very first thing I do is Google image search it to see what the deck is like. Most of the older RDAs were T-Post like the RH and are just not worth the work to convert, very few from back in the day had a 510 pin that protruded through the deck.

The RH isn't hard to convert you just need to push the post out and drill it, the threaded 510 hole goes all the way to the cross piece. I think I had to enlarge the hole in the peek insulator too as the squonk pin I used had a stepped shaft.

If latex gloves don't work, a freezer for like a half hour and see if that helps. Then if you have at least a teeny space between the cap and the bottom, assuming it's one that doesn't sit all the way down to the mod, a small flathead screwdriver can be used like a wedge working around the barrel until you can get something bigger in place.

If all that fails, several tosses against a concrete wall can be helpful. It might violate your please don't break anything directive, but it's a very satisfying experience.

Screw it into a mod with a known good 510 (not a press fit Smok one) and pull with a wiggle. After you have the barrel off remove one of the o-rings on the base or replace them all with the same size silicone versions to prevent that from happening again. I had to do that with my SXK Hadaly.

Got an email with DJL's latest review. There's a new iStick called the Rim Kit. Is it me or does that sound worse than Voopoo?

You have to admit, what a great idea. They'll turn a profit from accidental sales alone.

    I can see it now--

I'm having issues with my Rim Kit-- it burns my tongue and I can't taste anything.

These are dirt cheap, make a great display stand for unused atty’s. But also make for a great build stand. But their bottom flared design does allow for a good GI Joe Kungfu grip when trying to remove stubborn caps. No risk pulling apart the 510 of your prized mod.
