I'm curious myself, can't wait to play with it when it arrives.

I just bought the Beserker 1.5 too for the Provaris. I think owning one allows me to join the Tootle Puffer Club! I know there are different levels in the Club so I bought a Siren (it’s leaking)and Nautilus S2 (it’s not leaking) as well. I was hoping I could skip novice Puffer!!

I haven’t built it yet. I’ll really have to wIt until my hands are VERY stable. Plus I’m using a new Aspire 2. I’ve had to remove items from my pif drawer because now I can use them on my Provaris. I have a bunch of clones like NarDa, NarCa and even an Ammit that I bought awhile ago for some reason.

Tootle Puffing is fun :thumb: !!

My Gear RTA transformed into a bottom fill too. I can't get the fill cap off for the life of me. :-x

So glad I wasn’t the only one with this problem. I tried the freezer- no go. I soaked it hot water- no go. Finally, I wrapped electrical tape around the deck and then on the tank(mines plastic) and used an eagle claw & pliers to finally to get it unscrewed.

What a pita though.

Vape mail today, two spools of wire, two liters of salts and a couple Cap flavors. But look at the sack of swag LNW gave me. The bottles and pipettes I already had loads of, but you can never have too many syringes or gloves. There’s about 30 pairs of gloves in there

Reminds me of the kind of packages I got back when I first started doing DIY 6+ years ago mixing by volume (and soon after steeped with a commercial UC). And the endless hours I spent making test batches, cleaning up the gear used to make it, etc.

Far easier for me and with next to no clean up at all I changed to mixing by weight with inexpensive scales and a magnetic stir plate. So syringes, pipettes eye dropper bottles, etc were replaced by various appropriate liquid dispenser bottles for my store bought and DIY made flavor concentrates, DIY one-shots, PG, VG, etc. Making a 'batch' now days takes very little time and effort. My only 'clean up' after is the lab glass used (typically just a single flask, glass funnel, stir bar and the Boston storage bottle the batch will be put in).

Just splitting hairs probably (the old ways were usually close enough for my uses), but the ability to quickly add ingredients to 1/100th of a gram nets consistent repeat ability of my recipes that is far more accurate now as well. FWIW

The UC I steeped with (its faster on the stir plate).

Well I know that works for some, but I do fine with volume. I cannot pour without overpouring. I can, however, measure like an ace.

I’d have to pour every ingredient separately, pour the overage back into the original container... wouldn’t save me any clean up. Pipettes I just pitch, syringes run some water through. Not a big deal.

IMO, that's yet another wonderful thing about DIY = It can be done, and done successfully...no matter which measuring method, types of supplies, brands of flavorings and nic base, eliquid calculator, etc. that someone uses. Those things are all an individual's choices to make, and none are better or worse than the others...for everyone who does DIY.

The husband of one of my wife's coworkers vapes as I found out when we were invited over to their place yesterday for a BBQ. He mentioned he absolutely loved a Caramel Butter Pecan liquid a friend used to make but he can't get it anymore. Was thinking about throwing together a batch for him to see what he thinks, but I wanted to throw my own spin on it.

Was thinking Butter Pecan (CAP) and Caramel (FA). Also wanted to add a slight creaminess but I don't have an ice cream flavor so I was debating between vanilla custard (CAP) or Buttercream (CAP). For my own twist I'm thinking a splash of Kentucky Bourbon (TPA) and MAYBE Banana (CAP).

I think I'm just worried about overdoing it since I'm so new to mixing and definitely don't want to drown out the core Caramel Butter Pecan flavor I wanted to mix.

Exactly. And I did think about going by weight, but I’ve had consistent and successful results for over 5 years, so why fix it if it ain’t broke.

Have you tested the butter pecan yet? It’s pretty full all by itself. That and the caramel you have should be good ( I’m gonna try that!). I do add a little TFA vanilla bean ice cream and French vanilla cream to the butter pecan. All of those flavors steep at pretty close to the same rate which makes that an easy mix. Not everyone likes TFA but it works for me.

Obligatory Memorial Day purchase report: a bunch of RTAs and a couple of RDAs from Fasttech, some Castle Long Reserve because I wanted to try the real thing before mixing a clone, and a clear skin for my purple Provari 2.5.

I also got two other RDAs and a Dovpo Topside 90W from Fasttech before Memorial Day because they were cheaper with MAP.

I haven't tried it yet. Added it to my BCF cart at the last minute last night, and didn't think about the ice cream till this morning. Not worth placing another order for 1 bottle of flavoring, and my budget is all spent for the next little bit.

Pop it in the freezer for a while, 5-10 min, and then try. Sometimes you might have to leave it in the freezer longer like 20 minutes. I have done this with a KFL+ and it worked after a few tries in the freezer.

A leather belt will improve your grip. Or a rubber strap wrench. Or rubber gloves.

    Good luck! :thumb:
That's great...I've been hearing great things about that RTA and SXK has the reputation for producing things that are identical to the original...I hope you really enjoy it :)
I'll let you know how it is once I get that bad boy and build it. Today's shiny was my nic delivery which finally came. Looks like all the others will come while I am out of town. I better make sure my mom who is feeding my cats, knows to bring all my treasures inside where they'll be safely waiting for me to eagerly open them :D

Good morning shiners! May everyone's deliveries arrive on time. I got a tracking number and actual USPS shipping info on in transit on an order from Eightvape that showed it went out the door yesterday. Impressed they shipped on a holiday, amazed USPS was doing shipping stuff yesterday.
I was pleasantly surprised with Eight Vape's turnaround time, mine too, is in transit. They have the best price on the dolphin tops/tanks I have about 40 in the stash now as the hubby seems to go through 1 a week and often complains he needs a whole new tank "because the coil is burnt so all the juice tastes bad". Sometimes I just dump out the juice, add a new coil and tell him it's all good (I'm the designated person for vaping maintenance in this household):D

Eight years in, I still have to point out to my wife that she's vaping on an empty tank and that's gonna be a problem...

    Gotta love 'em!
