Here is a good photo for wicking both Prime and nKFL. The build areas are identical right down to size. Some have had a finicky go of getting the wicking just right but I don't think you'll have any problems. Not my photo...Hey thank you... That's just the sort of tip that really helps![]()
The important thing to take away is the open area under each side of the wick by the coil or wick shoulders. Keeping the cotton off the center (positive) block will prevent any juice from going down into the air flow. Also if you trim your cotton down to the first o-ring (and not above) but not beyond then your cotton will perfectly touch the bottoms of the juice wells.
I trim about 40% bulk off my cotton wick. You don't want a bunch of wick in the juice wells. I trim my wick from both sides of one end right up to the coil and repeat on the opposite side. Then place into the juice wells making sure the cotton is touching the bottom of the well. Works perfectly for me every time. If you use rayon you want to trim closer to 50% off your wick.
Let me know if you need anything when you get them and I'll be happy to help. There is also a thread for the authentic Prime that has massive amounts of info on wicking. I'll dig that up for you.
