I bet a nice turtle pond could help you forget about the geckos.
Not sure how the box turtles would feel about me turning their enclosure into a pond ! I’ve often thought of having one, but the fish required to keep mosquito larvae at bay would be at the mercy of the raccoons, hawks and kites. Plus, I could see my 100lb labbie taking a swim in it on the regular. I will miss the geckos, they’re so cute darting around the glass after dark.

I have spinal stenosis along with nerve problems in my left shoulder and upper back area. It was so bad the doctor suspected I might have a pancoast tumor. That checked clear, but the pain persisted. I won't do opiates because of personal reasons, but found Gabapentin to be extremely effective on those days when the pain is bad and persistent.

Tried that one too. Unfortunately I have to watch out for drug drug interactions so other solutions become tricky. I'm already on a tricyclic antidepressant which is sometimes helpful for nerve pain but it's not enough by itself. It's just frustrating the entire class of NSAIDs are off limits for me.

Wouldn't it be better to come off the tricyclic and see if a combination of other drugs, that you can't take because of interaction, will help more :)

I can’t take nsaids any more because they eat my tummy up. Opioids don’t mix well with me. After I ruptured the first two discs in my back, I got a TENS unit. That and a heating pad keep things bearable. I know others who got zero from the TENS, but it’s worth a shot if you haven’t tried it. You could probably even add one to your next fasttech order with the Gloom clone, they seem to carry everything lol!

In my experience, if something works at all I’d use it till it stopped working.

I took amatryptaline (sp?) which was good for certain types of pain. Never could tolerate neurontin, but Lyrica worked okay for a while, but my stupid neuro insisted I needed to up the dose. When I did I had a severe reaction. Doctors. They could just leave well enough alone.

I tried over 40 drugs in different combinations when I first got sick and the neck and everything went nuts. I was in 6-7 when my doc refused to write a prescription without an appointment- I was out of town, and there was a 3 month wait to get it - so I crash tapered off everything. Rough month.

I take nothing but over the counter stuff now. I feel like crap, but it’s better than letting anyone have that kind of power over my life. I could work around the pain if only I had something for the fatigue. That’s just crippling.

That sounds very unpleasant but only over the counter stuff is probably the right thing to do. Sometimes people don't realise that a lot of the meds that are prescribed may work in one way but they always have other effects which are not needed.

Our bodies always try to get into a state of homeostasis so everything we take the body tries to get on top of and bring us back to normal/balance. This in itself is bad for you let alone the side effects.

My sister always says to me that they (doctors) start off prescribing one thing which then causes side effects which they then prescribe another med to help deal with the bad effects.....and so on and so on.

I am currently on Cymbalta and have been for years. I was given it for depression (long time anti-depressant user here) and was told it would help with the neuropathy pain. Since I refuse to take Gabapentin (makes me feel high and since 27 years of recovery I cannot stand that feeling)
In the last year I realized that Cymbalta has its own side effects and decided to taper down until off. Went from 60mg to 40mg and went through the worst hell, worse than an Opiate withdrawal( believe me I know) and it is still going on 4 months later. I am choosing to just stay at 40mg because I cannot face the withdrawal again just yet. There is a trade off for sure. Pain or meds.

I will catch up but OMG OMG you guys I was disentangling my flavor order and my Dani 21700 came!!! It's the best! The handfeel is the best! I also mixed up 7 30 ml one shots and I still have base. My base is like that purse that never empties I guess. Anyways I have to rewick and build and reocil about 3--4 tanks so I will be trying some one shots then.

I put the N2S on my Dani and it seemed like an odd choice but it actually looks fantastic and with that mesh coil it is vaping GREAT. I might even leave it there for a while IDK. But it is SWEET. Hand feel is perfect for my hands. the vape is LOVELY.

I had no clue the dani was sitting there and frankly also no idea how they got it here from crème de vape so fast. I think it actually came before I ordered it.

All the tank fixing and bulling will come after yoga. I need to sit. I swear, mixing is JUST like cooking you are happy you did it and a good job too but it makes you TIRED. LOL.

Anna

I need pics badly!!
Try different combinations of speed and pressure...if that makes sense. Can't think of anything worse than a vape you can't unlock and vape.....good job you've got about 56 other ones :D

Cute! Very cute! And I think you’re right lol!! My next option is to just not lock it at all ha ha! It really is a gorgeous mod!

Yeah, a TENS device is worthwhile to try. I use one, sometimes it helps --- other times not so much, but I'm still glad to have it.

I ruptured a lumbar disc back in the 80's, and two more over the years since and have chronic back/sciatica pain with acute flare ups. NSAIDS are not recommended for me (beyond my daily low dose aspirin) for both stomach and heart reasons. However, tylenol/acetaminophen have never done anything for me, nor do opiods (perhaps a mixed blessing), so I use ice, meditation, the TENS device, alcohol (it does help, but obviously not a viable general solution), and I take NSAIDS anyway when things are particularly acute. I try to keep up with my stretching and maintaining a stable core, but still, sometimes you go to tie your shoe, or just get out of the car and BAM, you're lying on the asphalt waiting for waves of spasms to ease off and perhaps a kindly stranger to grab your emergency cane out of the car ...

Cymbalta didn’t help me for pain but fortunately I wasn’t on it very long because it caused me to have restless leg syndrome which was a nightmare. So I ended up going on Effexor and Wellbutrin as well as lamictal for mood swings. It’s made a big difference in my bipolar but doesn’t help so much with pain. Unfortunately I take opiates for that which has its own host of side effects.

Pardon my retail tech support mind, and I'm sorry if this has been thought of already, but perhaps the phrase "push the joystick IN" rather than "down", might make more sense?

Thanks. I’ll give that a try. I know pushing the joystick in locks in the resistance for temp control but that is definitely worth trying.

Hi people! Hope all is well. I’ve been under the weather lately with the pain control issues. Hopefully I’ve got things under control so I can pop in more regularly now.

Did I miss any serious shiny stuff???? Ie is there something I want to buy that I missed lol!!
