So it doesn't always matter if the cotton doesn't move relatively freely back and forth? I felt some resistance when I was settling the wick, but it did move fairly easily.
Its no biggie if its not that tight and moves a bit. It'll still wick and vape well. With a rta (especially with a longish chimney) it don't matter that much for me. When it comes a rda though (especially when the coil is close to my mouth) I will definitely wick it on the tight side.
I reached a point a while ago where I had enough of spitback so I started looking around for options. I came apon a video of Morton Oen on Utube about it. He did some tests and comparisons and concluded that the harder the better.
That's when I tried it myself and it works beautifully. A hard and well stuffed wick eliminates air pockets that causes juice explosions. It also wicks better when harder.
Lately I don't wick THAT hard anymore as its time consuming and a bit of an over kill. Was good to prove it to myself though. Now I just wick it as tight as I can in the shortest time.
After a while it becomes second nature...kinda.

Another chinese package lands.....Hoorah

Ultroner mini stick, Hadaly clone, Ataman V2 titanium atty and some 1'5 ohm tiny coils for my new Bantam box....pictures later when I can get this Ultroner box open :D

EDIT. That's a 13 day journey which isn't too bad I suppose even though I now know it can be 4 days :)

Words like resistance and tight are subjective. Popping may be more an issue for me since I use single coil dl RDAs, short cap, wide bore. I’m more exposed.

Like you, I watched a lot of videos and played around with my technique, and I agree that as much as I want a great vape, I also want to do it as quickly as possible.

If I have to retwist the cotton more than once, it’s too thick and I pull a tinch off.

I need to do a price comparison and see where the Bunker is cheapest. I think I can get it from fasttech for less with map than AsMODus on sale, but I’ll grab another .Blank from them.

I swear, every time I check my fasttech cart there’s over $100 in it. They have the Soulkeeper, if anyone is looking.

@Zazie and @Fredman1, wicking is an art it seems.

As too tight through the coil and the vape isn't great if at all due to the cotton expanding when wet and too loose through the coil ends up with popping, spitting and loss of flavour. Or at least that's what I've noticed.

I don't know how much Cremedevape would charge for shipping, but they do Rayon in metre lengths which may be of interest for a try. As Rayon shrinks a little when wet.

Hadaly clone, Ataman V2 titanium atty
I absolutely love the Hadaly Charlie. Been using it regularly for about a year now. I would like to know what you think of the Ataman. I got mine long ago from the guy in the Ukraine. Waited a month for it. Haven't used it for quite a while though. Maybe I should take it out and fire it up again...

Mine's up over the 300 dollar mark but then I tend to use it as a choosing filter....anything that I think is a possible purchase goes in and then I hone it down later as I come back with a fresh eye....

What's the soul keeper?

Yes I agree...it was one of the 1st flavour bangers if I remember correctly. I seem to have fallen in love with that form factor on my RDA's....

The Ataman V2 I got because I loved the look of it and the titanium was a bonus....it wasn't dirt cheap and looks bang on with logos etc....I know its an MTL atty but i'm hoping I can do a loose draw which will suit me. I have been told it has a serious throat hit too....which I like the sound of.

Your thoughts and experiences with your original would be good if you've got the time :)

Not shiny related, but this awful phone picture is a brown headed cowbird.

I felt a little stupid for buying a different bird seed when I couldn’t find what I normally use. It was a lot more expensive but I was in a hurry.

But I’m getting great birds with it, so it wasn’t a waste.

One of my favorite, and most distinctive calls. First time I heard one I thought what the heck is my phone doing now?

quite looking forward to the handheld 32bit retro console thing. 10000 games and more can be added via SD card. they'll mostly be in japanese no doubt.
Let me know if you want me to help you with that. I can buy and send it to you. No taxes added to my orders from them as long I am using my Georgia address, where I currently am.

Contorted filbert. It’s not old, but it died last year. I’m trying to find someone to get rid of it and plant another tree for

Broke my heart. I loved that thing.

My MIL lives out in Pahrump, and she took my son out to Ash Meadows by Amargosa. I have never been there but she texted me pics and it looks really nice out there.

Ah yes, 'Over the Hump to Pahrump'. :) Used to know some parrot breeders there.

As one who has always been very serious about preserving nature Ash Meadows/Devils Hole are very special places to me. Not only the raw beauty of the area, but also the only pace on earth where their tiny pupfish exist. It's been years since I have been out there. I wouldn't have the access to it like I did when a friend who was the curator of the LV Natural Natural Museum was still alive. A very serious effort to study and protect them from extinction is ongoing.

Sometime I might relate the tale about all the endangered species in our Springs Mountains here that also exist (or existed) no place else on earth. They are all threatened or endangered. But some of them have been thought to be extinct for as far back as 20 years ago. I was the last person known to find one of those species in 1998, and it has never been seen again since by anybody.

Good morning Shiny's
Finally finished reorganizing the flavor racks, now I just have to organize the flavors that don't fit in the racks and do an overstock inventory.
Yes racks are annoying...you get them to make a good job of getting everything tidy and then you realise that some things don't fit and you need to come up with another solution :)
