So it doesn't always matter if the cotton doesn't move relatively freely back and forth? I felt some resistance when I was settling the wick, but it did move fairly easily.

It's so much harder when using 28 gauge to judge, as the slightest touch makes the wire move. I wick 28ga the same as @Fredman1 - twist to get it in, then untwist and try moving it in the wick. If it won't budge at all, there's too much cotton, if it moves freely and I can pull it straight out, too little.

I aim for somewhere in the middle of those two - and unfortunately for each atty - it's trial and error. The doggy can usually handle too little or too much cotton, so just aim next time for a bit more than you used :thumb:

I do the same with rayon. I roll it then thread it then fluff the ends after cutting the extra off.

I have any admission: I order a VA Knight from the UK Stabwood Mods place.
I’m now panhandling by Gillette Stadium. Please throw a few pennies my way.

I blame it on the painkillers I’m on for my torn thumb tendon and avulsion fracture.

Yes racks are annoying...you get them to make a good job of getting everything tidy and then you realise that some things don't fit and you need to come up with another solution :)
The only reasonable solution is to quit ordering flavors I have no room for. Yeah, like that's going to happen. About a dozen on the wishlist.

Wow, those are $945 CAD + tax from Enushi... A serious pile of dosh to spend on a mod.

And this is the woman who was hesitating to buy another Pumper . . .

    That said, congratulations!

Love the squiggly branches on the tree too...it looks like it might be old?
LoL I do bonsai and branch movement like that is what we go for. Makes the tree look old. I saw that before I saw the bird :D
The Ataman V2 I got because I loved the look of it and the titanium was a bonus....it wasn't dirt cheap and looks bang on with logos etc....I know its an MTL atty but i'm hoping I can do a loose draw which will suit me. I have been told it has a serious throat hit too....which I like the sound of.

Your thoughts and experiences with yo
I'll fish it out again. Haven't used it since I stopped MTL some months ago.
