I have often wondered what I would do if my 45lb dog needed me to pick her up. As time goes on the thought of that gets more and more scary. I can pick her up to get her int he tub but only because it is a close distance. Mental note. Need to get a large wagon.

Especially when you have to be careful because they’re sick or injured. I mean I can lift a 40# sack of mulch, but I can’t be gentle with it. Rudy is only 12.6 lbs so he’s pretty easy, Georgia is 23 but for some reason feels a lot heavier. It was all I could do to get her in the truck after she got spayed.

AsMODus seems to be working again. My order went through. Another Luna on the way!

I agree. Caught me out just the other day. I canceled something and didn't see that it didn't cancel. That function is definitely "a glitch" in their system. Very important to always double check your contents before paying.
FT has a tiny window that asks to confirm cancellation.

Yeah I know but sometimes it don't seem to function. I had it a few times that it actually cancels but when I go into my cart later, it didn't. The other day I received a order that was doubled....luckily not a big one.

I'm just about eligible for a gift certificate from FT again..will be my 5th ;).
I'm eying the Wismec Surface but its a bit pricy. I spent the last week adding reviews on my last few months purchases. Also commenting on their forums.
For those that don't know, you get rebate points on sales, but also doing reviews and for using the forum.... that leads to a $10 gift certificate.

Exactly. The whole bathtub thing is crazy enough because we both almost fall a zillion times before I manage to get her in there.

this is the window that sometimes pops up and sometimes doesn't. If it does pop up and you are able to check the appropriate boxes it then sometimes goes away without recording your choices and you have to start all over again.

Clementine at the window at Petco. Yes I am still making myself miserable every few days going to see her. I just want her to know I have not forgotten her. She is at least coming close to the window now. She huddled in the corner for a long time. She has three regular visitors. The friend of mine that kept her for me while I had surgery. The guy that was feeding her when she was a stray at the trailer park. And me. Her eyes no longer look like giant saucers of black (enlarged pupils) and she puts her head down towards the finger holes so I can scratch her head. yesterday made 3 weeks

She is so dear. I don't understand why someone hasn't adopted her yet.
She is afraid. Does not like to be held. She would endure it with me, but not a stranger. This turns off prospective adopters. I volunteer at my local animal shelter and people always come in and request a flop cat. One who will lay comfortably in your arms. I always get my fosters used to laying like a baby in my arms so they will grow up used to it. Poor Clemmy did not even have human contact until she was very sick.

Made it to Walmart and back. Food soon I just got done talking to the husband as I filled TWO weeks of med boxes. For 1/4 more the time I can do a task I HATE while planning ahead and whatnot.

I did not buy Walmart Eclairs in celebration of Bastille day but I lived there for 3 years. I tried the Walmart ones once…. It was not a good experience. It was sort of like, "Oh NO." LOL.

Some things Walmart couldn't do.

I hit my first Douglas Homeless person. It was pretty tragic. She was OLD but unclear HOW old and she had a walker. She announced, "I need help." I was like, "Yes, yes you do. Have you been to the homeless shelter they are really helpful there?"

Then she showed me some sort of horrifying sores, and said she needed Neosporin ointment, and I was like "I'm thinking that is NOT the fix if it were me I might go to the hospital." But she was super insistent about the Neosporin until I was like, "I do not have that item, but I will happily go purchase it for you."

Then she was like, "I just need a little money." I was like, "Uh huh. NO." I hate that part where you just chicken a desperate homeless person into like just admitting they want to buy drugs, but I REFUSE to do it. I donate to homeless organizations but I'm not going to buy SOME STRANGERS drugs for them and it doesn't seem helpful.

My mom is always, "If a random stranger is desperate enough to ask me for money, I will give it."

It sounds really virtuous until I say, "Yes Mom you also went to half an al-anon meeting when I got sober."

That cheers me up. Because I believe we all get chances ALL of us. I would not have driven that lady to the homeless shelter (OMG the SMELL, no possible fashion) but I would have gotten her an Uber. (I believe in Uber for these matters, LOL.)

So maybe that was her chance, and she blew it. It kind of made me wish I had my 30 dollars worth of hemorrhoid items I did not need, the witch hazel pads might have been useful.

Lesson learned: carry your H products wherever ye go, LOL

She is darling. I don't know the backstory so excuse me for asking why you can't keep her?

Dropping out of vaping and then dropping back in 2 years later has been kind of weird. Seems like AsMODus has become the new Provari, and stabwood ("stabwood", really?) is the new titanium.

The term "stabwood" threw me for a loop at first, because as a luthier, "stabilized wood" is wood that has been heat treated ("roasted") and doesn't need finish. In fact, before I left the last time, one of the Tootle Puffers was making a roasted cherry mod, which he referred to as "stabilized wood". Which it is. Wood that doesn't need a finish.

Here's a cedar guitar body I did a couple of years ago ("Janine"). I coated the wood with a heavy layer of clear epoxy resin (thinned with acetone), and let it just disappear into the wood. A few days later, I repeated the process. Then I sanded and polished it smooth, and the color will probably never change much. It also added over 2 lbs to the weight of the body, so I won't be doing that one again. Or maybe I will. I wonder if people would pay more for a "stabwood" guitar?

Thai food in France on Bastille day... sorry Charlie, but somehow that don't seem right. I bet Napoleon would've had something to say about that :p
I hope you at least had some French patisseries after that....I love those
Lol... I sang the Marseillaise after the fireworks and then I had a huge bowl of homemade Italian ice cream.

Napoleon was a shorty anyway :D
