@stratus.vaping
Here are some foxgloves for you.

Morning all.

I finally broke out the kitchen scale and tried my luck at mixing by weight. Terrible results. Volume and weight are very, very different amounts. Way too much flavor. I would have to measure each ingredient in every recipe by volume on the scale and rewrite all of them in grams. I doubt I’d live long enough for a project of such epic proportions.

Maybe I’ll try a couple and see how it goes. I’m going to need to do a flavor order though.

Way back in the beginning I started off the elaborate way, but quickly got bored with that.
Now I just measure the percentages of the flavors with the syringe and squirt them in one by one. Then I eyeball my 60/40 PG/VG (compensate some for the PG in the flavors) and lastly I squirt in the nicotine....done.

They need to be accurate scales that will go down to 10ths of a gram. Also if you go to an app like the ELR it will automatically put in the correct specific gravity of each ingredient. It does that for my VG and PG but I have t turned off for flavours as they are near as dammit 1ml = 1g.

In other words you should have been pretty close so apart from a few very minor differences the two methods should result in very similar juices.....more likely your scales are not properly calibrated.

Good morning shiners! Some assorted and sundry due today. As they're from Fedex and UPS I have less anxiety of whether they'll be delivered to me or the hotel down the block.

My father did the baby food jars. He had trillions washers, screws, nails, etc. , and he could always find that one nut and bolt you needed. However, if you needed two or three of the same size you were out of luck.

When I first started with rebuildables, I knew those goody bags of replacement stuff were important. I put all of them in my build toolbox for possible future use. By the fourth RTA I realized I didn't know which bag was for which tank. I still have all those little plastic surprise parts, but all the rest are in the original boxes of the corresponding tank for easy identification. Unfortunately that takes up a fair amount of space, and I could just label the bags, However, now that I'm suonking I can put all the tanks back in their boxes for long term storage. So I thought ahead without realizing I was even thinking ahead

morning all.
bought my sxk bb on the 24th of last month. it just arrived in the country today. won't get it until saturday at the earliest.
off work sick. could do with a shiny thing as distraction.

Feel better today. I'm sure you can find some piece of gear around to keep you distracted.

I like 3Avape. I got my Desire Cut squonk from 3Avape when it was on clearance for $12. One of my fave regulated squonks and a steal for the price.

For whatever reason I'm doing great on sales of squonk stuff. I also picked up a full Squeeze 2 kit for $30 from Breazy, an Athena mech for $8 and a Pulse BF with extra door for ~$10. And now the Luna for $30. Never had such luck of such dirt cheap pricing on regular mods. If I had only known squonking was so cheap when I started out. Well, back then I don't think there were such bargains as there have been the last few months.

YFTK Stratum Zero Mosfet Mod. Can use 22mm & 24mm atties & 18650/20-21700 batteries. 3 clicks on & off. Reverse battery protection. Low voltage cutoff. Extra mosfet. From FT.

It’s a tiny thing & I’m using Sanyo NCR20700A batteries with a clone Dvarw DL rta (which is tall).

I did use ELR and the scale is AWS from Amazon, recommended several times in the DIY, measures to .01 g. I checked to see if it was calibrated and it was.

I could have mixed blind and had a better juice. They must not have accurate weights on a couple things I have.

I need more donut juice anyway, so I’ll measure as usual and weigh too, just out of curiosity, and see what the difference is. I can’t see this being my sole method though. It was really hard for me to pour the correct amount. Took me a lot longer this way.

It’s a great scale for baking though, lol. I got it to use with the Great British Baking show cook books.

Hello everyone. Been a while I know, but I hope you're all keeping well. :)

My Dad is still in hospital. Heart operation went well but he ended up with an infection. In fact he ended up with two infections in one of his legs and got Sepsis twice. Problem is that leg has vascular issues so they had serious problems treating the infection. In fact things were looking very dire at one stage and the doctors were talking about amputating his leg. So it's been chaos around here and a great deal of stress for the whole family.

But the good news is he seems to be over the worst of it now, sadly being in there so long has made him very depressed, and he was so miserable he was sending away the physiotherapists he needs to get walking again. Of course my Mum and I have put a stop to that and told him straight he will do as he's bloody well told if he wants to get out of there.

Anyway in regarding vape news, I bought a bit of vape gear. Got a Taifun GT III clone from 3fVape a couple of days ago, exactly the same as my authentic but needs the O-rings replacing since they're crap. Also got another YTFK FEV 4.5, love that tank.

And today I got three parcels at once. Another FEV PEI tank to reduce the weight and overall size. A Ataman IV which @charlie1465 told me was worth trying. Got the Ulton Taifun GTR and I think it's better than my YTFK one, although that one is serviceable enough.

Also the Ulton Tripod @ShowMeTwice has been going on about for ages. A Shenray FEV RDA which has a lovely deep well and great throat hit. Also a YTFK GTR PSU Tank since the YTFK one only comes with a PMAA tank. Some more stainless wicks for my FEV, and an Ataman III. Lastly some of those micro cleaning brushes, the ones on the key chain.

At least I have plenty of choice now for when I fancy a vape while out gardening. All the best! :)

@Vape Muppet Nice to have you back. Sending positive thoughts for your dad's speedy recovery.

Well friends, the search for an MTL device has been feverish. So much so that I ended up ordering another mech :D I've got a white El Thunder on the way with plans to do some kind of stormtrooper setup with a black atty. For MTL, I might try a Kayfun Lite 2019. It looks pretty legit with that airflow adjustment in the 510 pin.

@Vape Muppet I know how hard all of that must be on your family, and I’d be depressed too, in your dad’s shoes. Does he have any good distractions? Maybe if he’s able to read or listen to music, or play games on a phone or tablet...? When my MIL was sick, all she wanted was her retro tv, Gunsmoke and Bonanza. My husband got a tablet and browsed eBay. Anything to take your mind off things for a bit.

Anyway, glad you stopped by, and I wish you and your family all the best.
