The design is not my thing, but seems like a good price for that mod.

They still have more of these, if anyone is interested.
asMODus Rose Finch Mechanical Mod single 18650

I showed mine to my SIL and she was pretty horrified lol. She’s stuck on those istick and everything else is too big. So she grimaces at my collection. But the tubes, she reacts to them like they’re pipe bombs.

I like that Sourcemore sucker a LOT. Nifty design. I have considered that mech for a while. Maybe if AsmOdus let me trade in the Minikin 3. LOL, kidding, but have you noticed it is ALL on sale and sometimes clearance already?

Not much boasting anywhere by vape co's that have it in stock. Oh well, it's like a lame Shetland pony, no one wants those. I don't think they're cute.

Still a great vape, but....

I only had 2 weeks in hospital when I broke my ankle 18months ago - but I can relate to your Dad's experience. I couldn't concentrate on anything except cryptic crosswords - and considering the pain meds I was on, I have no idea how I was able to do them ;)

Normally I'm happy as a kid in a sandbox reading thrillers, I could happily read all day - but just couldn't focus enough to read in hospital. So my only tip is find something to keep your Dad distracted and entertained. If he likes crosswords - get some crossword compilation magazines, or maybe a sudoku book. Thinking of you - and it's always good to see you in here

Thanks Ange. :) He's was moved to the rehabilitation ward the other day, so things are looking a bit more hopeful. At least there's some greenery to see from the windows, and the patients actually do have an outside area to enjoy. Plus specialised physiotherapists too. My Dad is starting to realise now that he has to motivate himself more if he wants to get out.

Take care of YOU. I’ve been in your shoes, and you need tlc as much as the patient. After all, we want the vape muppet around for a while ;)

Thanks Nola. :) I'm honestly okay and keeping the garden under control for my parents is a helpful distraction. Any stress tends to manifest itself as trouble sleeping on occasion. Plus as long as I've got plenty of juice in reserve I don't totally lose it. But I have switched to all the quick and convenient RTA's I own, don't want additional frustration.

@Vape Muppet , Dad, Mum and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Stay on your Dad to do what they ask so he can come home. Sounds like you and your Mum are doing well there though.

Nice haul on the gear you've picked up recently too! ;)

Thank you for your kind words. :) Yes I'm okay. And you'll be pleased to know I do like the Tripod. Capacity isn't great but it's a good run around RTA on a mech. 1.8mm air insert suits me the best.

@Vape Muppet I'm glad your dad's infection is under control. I went through a long hospitalization myself last year and it's a draining experience. All you can do is try to be supportive, but take care of yourself as well, it'll be some time before he's able to get back to himself and you'll still be needed then, so don't burn out too soon.

Thanks Eskie. :) Sorry to hear you had a bad time too and I'm glad you're good now. I know it's going to take a lot of work for him, at least 6 months after he gets out I think. And I haven't burned out yet, in some ways I do better when stressed.

But they are... Put a shorted atty on one and see. ;)

We had a customer with a Smok Baby Beast in the shop looking to buy a battery for the tube mech it was on. Informed him that he is seriously looking to spend time in the ER and refused to sell him the battery. He just couldn't understand how coil heads could possibly short, as there was never any problem on any of his regulated mods using them.I

Couldn't make this guy see sense, I guess you can't fix stupid.

it isn't a mech despite the description. VV mod with the usual protections. and who doesn't love a potentiometer, right?

Tracking for my MDX unicorn eta Monday!
That's awesome! You're gonna love it. The new Unicorn mech I just got is nice but the engravings on that MDX are beautiful. I need another one in a custom color, I think.

@lupinehorror , I bought an RDA from naturevape at the end of June. It was the fastest shipment I have ever received of any purchase from the UK. Quality gear too.
that's good to hear. think he/they ship a lot over your way. usually a video tutorial to accompany each more esoteric item also

Speaking of pods... In the clearance pages at Sourcemore they have many heavily reduced in price. I don't know if they are good ones or not.

I thought it was worth mentioning for anyone here who may be pod hunting. ;)

I have to say, I’m digging the Flow pod. It hits like the Biip on the smallest af setting. I’ve filled the pod 5 times and it’s still going strong. It takes quite a few hits to run 2 mls that tiny coil, too.

If I were only using this and no other mods, the battery would last about half a day. I’d want three of them, just to be safe. But it charges quickly.

Definitely getting replacement pods for it.

My Ehpro cold steel is next door in Mississippi! Hope yours is almost there too
Supposedly been in the air for the last week, tracking has been useless so just quit looking for it. Let me know how you get on with it please.

Well, yeah. If you ever see me put a baby beast on one and ask what Ebay seller has batteries, you have permission to take all my mods away, lol.

I am probably more cautious than I need to be with them. And if I’m ever in doubt I know you guys will point me in the right direction - if I didn’t have the back up, I wouldn’t use them.

These were still in the box with no batteries in them though. Perfectly harmless in that state.

I know you will treat them with the respect they deserve. I'll only take the Asmodus mods away though if that ever happened. ;) :hubba:
