Thank you TrollDragon! Yeah, I've been thinking about whether I will get the Druga or not. I have been using 18650's and other Lithium Ion batteries for about 15 years now on my high end LED flashlights, so I am familiar with battery safety and oHm's law. I would much prefer a regulated squonker for sure. Maybe I will wait, becuase I have plenty of mods I can drip with for now. Watching all you Shiny's here is just soooo compelling and fun. :pop::drool:View attachment 835331

PS. I am aware not to ever use the drop in coil tanks with a mech mod. Thank you for the reminder. View attachment 835325
Sorry if I gave info that you already knew, but it's always good to be safe.

Just simple coil wrapping. I'd always just used the 2.5mm id rod in the coil master holder, and hand wrapped the wire around the rod. All good til I started using mtl clapton wire and it kept twisting and kinking. I started a thread about it, and got the perfect solution of actually using the winder that comes with the coil master jig. Perfect claptons now ;)

Oh ok thanks!

Thanks! Don't know how I got the idea there were several different versions available.

I see it comes with a wide-bore drip tip. It's a 510, though, so I could switch it out for something more to my taste.

Boy, is it tiny.
They used to have quite a few, but all discontinued these days.
16mm, it is quite tiny. ;)

Speaking as a fellow new squonker - go regulated, or a full protection unregulated (like the Luna) first if you can. I found it hard enough figuring out how often to squonk, playing with builds & wicking, removing & filling the bottle. You don't need the extra worry of your build shorting, oversquonking & leaking into the wiring, and so on. You want to enjoy and have fun squonking :thumb:

Looks great and perfect match with the tank. The Supream v2 .
Gunmetal SV2 is a hard thing to match with a mod. I ordered it from Subtank Supply in KY and they sent a Black SV2 in error, a quick email saying I received the wrong one and they sent out the Gunmetal NC and told me to keep the Black one.

    Top shelf retailer!

In vape mail yesterday I received a Geek Vape Aegis Solo (single 18650) mod.

I've been playing/vaping with it since. Got her running in TC straight away. Geek Vape does TC very nicely. Geek Vape's default SS TC is just as good as a DNA board IMO. In fact I did some side by side vape testing between a JAC DNA-75 and the Solo. Honestly I cannot tell the difference between the two. Certainly in a blindfold test I would not. They're even in TC. The default SS TCR on the Solo is 105. Next I will play with different TCR settings for TC. The Solo is an excellent vape in TC mode. I haven't tried wattage mode or any of the others yet. Don't really need to test wattage mode IMO. Wattage is wattage.

The Solo is very comfortable in hand for thumb or index finger firing and it fits like a fine glove either way. It is much lighter than I expected. Super easy to setup and change settings. It's a solid mod!

    IMG_1207cr.jpg

Last night the Solo saw its first drop (ummm flight actually) courtesy of dog's tail. She sent it flying about 4-5 feet. The Solo landed on carpet. I could not grab it before its maiden voyage took flight. No problem it still works perfectly. Same for the Kayfun Prime (w/PEI kit) on top. We do "real" world testing here not the fluff of some reviews. So score 1 for a drop/flight test. I do not plan on testing GV's claim of it being completely waterproof. But I am confident at some point dog, or cat, will knock over a glass of water and the Solo will get drenched. It's very likely I will spill coffee on it. Stay tuned.

I bought mine at eJuices ... GeekVape Aegis Solo 100W Mod Only

With their current codes the Solo is a steal and a great mod (if you like single 18650's). I would highly recommend the Geek Vape Aegis Solo to any looking for a quality mod.
I've ordered a second for the vape cache.

Codes apply to everything at eJuices ...Aug 1-31...the end.

    Cheers ... :D

woke up to vape one of my rigs last night and smelled something a miss. As soon as I picked up one very hot mod i knew. My Asmodus with aromamizer was self firing. I am not blaming it on any of the brands. More then likely juice was dripped onto the mod buttons. I had been in the hospital with this baby for three days and it was being daily driven. The smell made me want to go sleep outside

Wow! Stories like this make me so nervous. I had an auto fire event and fortunately I was there when it happened.

Thanks for all your support, everyone.

When we got to the nursing home this morning, mom was completely out of it. The aid said she had woken her up for a minute at breakfast, but mom wouldn’t eat at all, and fell right back to sleep.

My sister and I could not even get her to open her eyes. My brother and his wife got there later, and we all had a meeting with the heads of various departments about her care. And then my brother managed to wake her, but she wasn’t talking and didn’t seem to know we were there.

All the doctors and nurses were saying pneumonia generally makes dementia escalate like that. But there’s no telling if a person will bounce back with treatment or continue to decline. Let me tell ya, we were thinking the worst.

They gave her IV antibiotics last night at the hospital, but the home had to call a pharmacy to get the same thing. It just got there now, my sister just texted me.

But what she got at the hospital must’ve kicked in, and just at the time when her aid came in and asked if she wanted cake and ice cream. She heard that alright, and said YES! She got right up out of bed, with a little help, and we wheeled her to the cafeteria. She cleaned the plate! Still drowsy, but mostly understanding and responding.

I’ve never seen anything like it.

I mean I’m not delusional, I know we’re going to lose her. But not today.

That's a common pattern, but the fact she's already doing better is a good sign. Hopefully each day will be better than the one before.
