Well all you beautiful people. I'm off to NO vape land early morning for two weeks. Gonna miss you crazy lot. Off to bed for a restless sleep. Last vape for me tomorrow morning . Don't really know what to expect, other than it won't be good. Spare a thought ;)
Have fun

I belong to NextDoor.com for info on all things happening in the neighborhood

I belong to a local group also. So I can look and see what’s going on, fairs and delays and what the sirens went off for. I didn’t see anything about my stink problem so I just walked around the block. My house was the source of the stink. Demons, probably ;)

I don’t hang around on that site for long though, because my neighbors are mostly idiots. I’d rather not know just how backwards they are.

Anyway, the vinegar did the trick, thanks! It was a rough day though, because I did panic thinking someone had thrown one of those drain cleaner bombs in the yard or some other horrible thing. I was really scared Georgia was going to be hurt or killed. But she’s fine. So all’s well.

Then we had a birthday party for mom, very bittersweet. And today would be my 36th anniversary, a couple weeks it’ll be my husband’s birthday. So this is a tough month.

I came home from the nursing home and sat down for five minutes, woke up 4 hours later. Everyone was texting me because I’d been expected at my brother’s house.

I was exhausted though. I got the dogs settled in and went back to bed. Just woke up.

That’s why I went to look at the truck. I’ve never car shopped alone before and that was pretty scary. I thought, that’s going to be a hard, anxiety ridden time, so why not do it while I’m already all shook up, instead of ruining a relatively good day?

The salesman was really nice though, and I felt completely at ease through the whole thing. He gave me a good deal, I thought, and didn’t make me haggle. And I love the truck. Makes me feel safe and confident. It’s my anniversary gift to myself.

Hey all! Got my first mech mod yesterday. View attachment 837119 Same friend that gave me the Dead Rabbit RDA gave it to me. It's a Glas clone. It appears to be working ok, but really needs to be cleaned up. The machining is nice and smooth but the contacts have some corrosion on them, and I just want to make sure everything is ok before I use it. Any suggestions for cleaning it up? Thanks!

The best tool for the job is a fiberglass pencil, so called beacause it has an extendable brush of fibres at one end. It will effectively clean off dirt, medium rust or corrosion etc. I use one extensively when repairing radios etc. It will not remove any metal or solder etc, that's the trick.

Make sure any fibreglass bits are fully removed before use ofc.

Good morning shiners! All quiet on this Monday morning. We'll see how long that lasts. Otherwise just waiting for a FT package to move but it seems reluctant to go anywhere. Maybe I need to put out treats.

@DeloresRose glad the smell is gone, but I'll admit I'm curious what it was too.

HAHA thanks for the laugh! I would suspect demons too!

I know! It is crazy. I get a good laugh out of hearing what kind of things run through my neighbors heads. There is one guy, no matter the problem (small business closing, car break-in, local traffic jam) he always chalks it up to "damn liberals"
I fully expect to see him carted away in a straight jacket on day.
Thankfully I am moving in the net couple weeks but I think the south is full of this so I will probably still have 1-2 in my new neighborhood

I have more than plenty of those conspiracy ding dongs. And one of the locals always thinks someone is messing with her.
Last week she was crying about kids throwing rocks at her house. Calling the cops, making threats. I happened to drive by and noticed a large oak tree hanging over her house, squirrels running up and down. Out on a country road, I doubt any kids would have cause to wander around out there. I’m sure this time of year the acorns are hitting her roof all day... no sense at all.

Not a bad problem to have, especially when there's fresh coffee cake in the house. No vape shiny for me today but I do have a new set of Sony BT headphones on the truck for delivery.

I'm gonna be rocking out like this guy today. I'll bet he's listeneing to Huey Lewis...
    Nice!

I think your DT collection is awesome Charlie. And nicely organized. Most of mine reside in a ziplock baggie though there are some organized in a similar box.

I'm happy the mysterious demon stench is gone and Georgia is fine.

I don't know if I should, or shouldn't, wish you a good 36th. Awkward, I guess. But I do understand, totally. That Love will Always be Within You, cherish it and be thankful.
And I know you do.

My neighbors tried getting me on the local online group thingy. I looked at it and promptly said "no thank you". It is mainly the local gossiper's going on and on about the dumbest stuff that doesn't matter. Like they're laundry is the cleanest, ha. Kind of like the National Enquirer or some other similar rag mag. "So and so didn't trim their bush", "that one never does XYZ" - it's just dumb. I can't stand the kind neighbors who are all up in everyone's business. I suppose if gossip was banned it might be decent. Our city web site is better for stuff that's happening and zero gossip. :)

    Good afternoon Shiny's :D

It's a dark cloudy day here with that fine misty type of rain but nice and cool out. The mist felt very refreshing on our walk this morning. Don't know if I have any vape mail coming today. I haven't looked to see and like to be surprised.

I hope you all have a good day!!!
