Sanding down the edges is always an option, too. The doors are really nice.

I rarely use them since they cover up my wraps but they are nice :D
They're gorgeous! So if I were to try sanding the edges, what grit would be appropriate? Sounds like a fun project actually :)

The Zion rda came today - along with a v2 (yes, I know but I couldn't help it!)

Okay, so Zion is good, nice flavor (doing coffee in it atm) But it's just a little airier than is my preference.

I guess it won't be hard to either PIF or get my money back if I decide.. but it's not a bad little rda anyway.. might keep it air or no..

I'm no expert but I suppose a coarse grit to start and then finish with fine like pretty much any wood project. The last time I sanded anything acrylic I picked up some foam blocks covered in a fine grit and they worked great.

I'm a bit freaked out because I live an entire 2 hours away from Stuart which is where the place is located and I'm assuming where they ship from but instead of heading north towards me it heads further south than I am north towards Miami's Opa Locka black hole... I guess they do all their shipping through Miami I just find it odd the way mail service works. I have a package that was supposed to get to me in February that is still showing as being in Opa Locka... it wasn't Vape mail and I got my money back I just I hate that regional facility and find it strange that anything in Florida would automatically head further south rather than North we're virtually everything in the continental US is LOL

When it comes to the USPS, nothing is too convoluted. When I get packages from overseas they almost always come through JFK here in NY and get through customs in a few hours. AFTER that, they go to a distribution center in CT, then to a center in NJ, before returning to a NYC distribution center. A full tour of the area. Oh, the airport is about 30 minutes away from me.

If it comes from the west, my stuff goes through Chicago, right past me, up to Dearborn where it always spends the weekend before coming back down to my PO.

If it comes from the east, it goes through Columbus and from there it could go anywhere. I’ve tracked packages from Columbus to KY to PA to Toledo. I know they closed a lot of hubs a few years ago to save money, but I can’t see how this is saving any money. It takes so long for my gas bill to get here I’ve had to overnight it more than once before I signed up for auto pay.

Got in some kanthal ribbon wire 0.8mm x 0.2mm ... took 8 wraps at 3mm to get 0.5 ohms, which is ok for my LiFePO4 vapes, but too low (for me) for regular batteries. Not loving this coil, guess I'll need to try some thinner ribbon next time ...

I had the same issue. Too low for me.

LoL here in little NZ we have one way in and one way out. All my things goes to Auckland and then straight to me. Our capital has one road leading in and out. When it rains and a slip slides onto the motor way, there's no way in or out. Everybody stays put...drink beer and talk rugby until the road opens :D
I LOVE this place man:thumbs:

Good morning shinies

May all your shiny itches be scratched in a timely manner.

Back in hospital again with severe anemia so a bit of a bummer. I wonder how many transfusions I'll need this time.... 6 last time plus 1 platelets
So sorry to hear that Charlie. Had you need taking iron pills before? I need them3 times a day now from just surgery. I can’t imagine how tough it is.
Did they warn you that you’re poop will turn a kinda green? Asking for a friend

Finally got around to trying out the MFG V2. Stuck my Reaper on top and took it for a whirl. Here's my initial thoughts, for what they're worth. I love the small size. It's the smallest mod I've ever owned by far. The delrin feels great in hand and is especially awesome since I live in a cold environment. It will take some getting used to because the firing button needs to be pressed pretty hard in comparison to my other mods. I would consider that a con - BUT - since there isn't a way (that I can see) to lock it, that's actually a plus because I really don't foresee it firing in my pocket easily.

My atty fit perfectly so I didn't need to try adjusting the 510, and I think it would be easy to do but am kind of glad I didn't need to find out. The black reaper looks great on this mod so I'll just consider them a pair and will probably never need to make an adjustment. I actually love the included squonk bottle too - it's stiffer than what I'm used to, but it feels great! Not too stiff, not too soft.

The only thing I don't like about it is the writing on the back. That's just a personal preference thing though. I'm not a fan of logos etc. I really wish it was just plain black, but hey, it's all good!

For $20 this is an insanely good deal and I couldn't be happier with it. Gotta be careful as I've never had a mod that required the battery to be inserted upside down, but careful is my middle name. I think it's a winner, and will probably be the mod I'm taking out and about with me more often than not. Again, the delrin is great in a cold environment, and it's a mech so no worries about dropping it in the snow and ruining the electronics.

Verdict: Sloth approves  they're still in stock for $20/mod so just wanted to give my initial impressions in case anybody's been on the fence about ordering one.

ETA: couple more thoughts - for one thing, @Tralfaz pointed out that you don't have to run the battery positive side down, it can be run either way. For another I wanted to comment on the door because it is fantastic. The magnets are really strong and it snaps into perfect placement with ease, smooth as butter. This mod is really, really well designed!

I swear that these companies need to ask you folks to take the pictures for these products I mean I know unfortunately this particular product came from the store going out of business but just in general the pictures on here are so beautiful and then you go on the site and it looks like something that you would store a pack of gum in LOL

@Sloth Tonight You can run the battery either way since it's a full mechanical. I run mine positive up all the time.
I'm new to Mechs and the reason I got the Armageddon despite that is cuz it's going in my storage for later. I had heard that the reason a lot of them will be positive side down is because that's where the vent holes are or were usually located and that way if the battery did vent it would have somewhere to go a straight shot rather than having to go around to the bottom I know that's not an issue or at least it wouldn't seem to be an issue with a squonk because there's plenty of ventilation but in a tube mod is that a true thing? Curiosity's sake only
