I hate to say it but sounds like your Mum needs a firm no ma'am kind of no.... Mind you you know her best.

Chin up Buddy :)
Thanks I have gotten better it doesn’t eat me up as much as it used to. But still the thing with the new car years ago led her to eventually go into my room while I was at work and take some of my medication then lay down on a farm next door waiting to die. Lucky it was only suboxone I was on at the time for my opioid addiction which is a little harder to OD on what with the ceiling effect it has on dosage.

It just makes me nervous for what’s coming when this starts

I had a friend whose mother had mental health issues. She could function for a while, then go off her meds and be a mess, a danger to herself.
At the time, he was a young guy like you. And I’m going to tell you the same thing I told him

It’s not your job. You’re not qualified to fix this for her. I mean I agree that we have some sort of responsibility to all the people we love, to try to steer them straight when they go off the rails.

You ought to let her know that you feel she is unsafe, and you are not equipped to cope with this situation. Either she can contact her doctor and get the help she needs, or you will contact adult services.

And I know this sounds harsh. I just went through the whole dementia deal with my own mother. It was painful to tell her she simply wasn’t safe at home, and that we were completely unqualified to help her. That was really gut wrenching. But what if we hadn’t done it, what might have happened to her that we’d have to live with? Intervention is an act of love and compassion- for your mother and yourself.

afternoon all (though it has appeared to be night all day).
really liking the drone 250C. the wee bit of movement in the door is slightly irksome however but doesn't annoy me hugely (or so I'm telling myself).
there's a titanium version of the xeta out from yftk i read in the sxk bb thread. FT sale coming up. hmm.

My first Ni80 coil

Not the best match, I need to bust out a black Zeus for this, I think.

I see what everyone is saying about less ramp up. It fires almost immediately.

i probably use ni80 75 percent of the time. always in my mechs because of said quick ramp up. quite easy to wind with too. not overly springy.

Is that a Therion? I use one of those every single day! :)
Yep, DNA166. It's my favorite regulated mod of all time if not favorite overall. I'm still a little chapped that we never got a DNA250C version. Design, build quality, functionality and hand feel - the Therion has it all. The Paranormal was a poor substitute for what I would consider a truly legendary mod.

I used .2x.8 and it’s quite strong, and not springy. I’m not terribly coordinated and thin wire is really hard for me to work with - I trash them trying to wick them lol. This is a nice balance of higher resistance that isn’t too wimpy.

Agree. I have a Paranormal but love my Therions way more.

didn't i hear talk of a new therion at some point? if i did hear that it would have been on here so maybe just wishful thinking. there's zero point in looking at the lost vape website these days. if you didn't know better you'd think they've never made nice mods at all.

Ah that's so good to hear mate. My wife is also in real estate and I know how demanding it can be.
All is good with me thanks. Me to have a very good life here in NZ. I thank the good Lord on a daily basis for being so blessed. I had it rough back in SA where I come from, so this is heaven like to me.
Got the back yard almost secured. Heat sensor lights and camera is up and running. I'm busy talking to people in SA about electronic beams to round things off. You can't beat them SAns when it comes to home security....:w00t:
When I have them up, it should be a fortress back there where the bonsais live.
As a matter of interest, these are the beams. Exactly what I need to secure all the back corners...All that's needed is a beam and a keypad.
Kwêbeams - Outdoor Security
How about some pics of the bonsai?

Good morning everyone!

I made this for dinner last night:

Southern Goulash

And it made a TON of food. I'm about to find out how well it freezes and reheats.. lol.

Would be great for any large family with growing teenage boys! haha..

Hope everybody has a lovely day!
That's perfect freezer food.

That was probably us lamenting the discontinuation of the best mod they ever designed and pointing out the shortcomings of our Paranormals. Heavy, not as comfortable to hold, squishy button... I could go on. Vape people problems :D

part of my problem is i always forget which coils are in which atty and if they're ni80 or ss. should use a text file for reference.
I use a text file to keep up with "what is in what" as I have 8-12 atty's + mod's going all the time. I do like variety with my vapes.

Thanks I get what your saying I have been told the same thing many times by counselors and whatnot.
Easier said than done. I remember when I was homeless for a while my sister and grandma were telling me I need to smarten up and start helping mom again because she’s selling stuff to make the rent payments and had to cut cable off etc. Seems like that’s why they wanted me to get better was because of mom not getting money from me.

It’s like it’s my responsibility and I get guilt tripped hard for it.
