Oh, I thought you said at one point she took you in when you needed help.Well I wouldn’t say she really rescued me. She just raised me as a single parent and always did her best and made sure we had everything we needed /wanted for years. Now that’s what she brings up when she guilt trips me. She seems to block out a lot of stuff too. As a kid I would try to cheer her up because she was always depressed and just talking about how she wants to die. I would always try to make her happy In anyway possible. I started working when I was 14 and have always helped with money since . But it got worse over the years when my sister got her own place and my dad died so she stopped getting spousal support.
I hope you like it!!!
Hey @Ricky Vapes with all the bunny photos it got me thinking. I've trained my dog not to chase the bunnies on our walks. Got a beautiful walk along the river and there's bunnies everywhere. I walk her off leash and she freezes when she sees one. By her body language I can see she's fighting against her instinct, but she keeps it together. Very proud of her (and myself to)
It's her on the left.

The small one is visiting and she's a bit wild. She goes on the leash and starting the same training now. She will get there. She's a good and highly intelligent girly.
My dogs must have vision problems. Everytime I'm working in the yard and wearing a hat, they run out at full steam barking like crazy. They stop 10' away with a sheepish look tails tucked under their legs wagging. It's hilarious. My dogs don’t chase anything while on leash. But since we have a fenced yard which they run with no leash, it’s pretty hard to keep them from being dogs. If I’m right there, I can get Georgia to back off. Maybe someday she’ll be able to govern herself, but as of now, other animals are intruders. Off our property, she’s a whole different girl.

Oh she did say she had enough of watching me kill my self and kicked me out once. I ended up coming back for a while when I had enough of the lifestyle and then went to detox. She did help me out immensely. She was selling everything she could to make rent payments and I felt really bad about leaving her. After detox I met my first girlfriend and got a place with her. My mom assured me she would be okay. Then when she died she let me move back in. It was better at first but slowly it’s starting to be this unhealthy cycle again . Guilt trips etc. I always think of my mother though always have. I never go shopping without thinking of her or get fast food for myself or a pizza. It’s always for the two of us and that’s cool with me. It’s just when she goes on these guilt trips for these stupid things it makes me feel horrible.Oh, I thought you said at one point she took you in when you needed help.
IN regards to the rest of your post. Sounds like you somehow convinced yourself that you are responsible for her happiness a long time ago. You grew up doing that and she got used to it. She now expects it. Nothing evil in what she is doing, it is just a dysfunction. If you recognize it then you can break the cycle. It will be hard and you do not have to stop loving your mom, just set some boundaries and make it clear to everyone involved. You OWE yourself that.

Only you know how to live your life. Lifes hard to figure out. What's right, wrong, best or worst, it's all relative to the person and situation. What's good for one, is bad for another. @Fredman1 the Ulton clone sounds good. Always seems pretty important to buy from the correct company and sometimes the result is hailed as even better than the OG.... Definitely needs a bit of research before you click that button.... Thanks for the tip![]()

Aw so cute. Good job training your pup that’s not easy to do. Like you said it’s their instinct. My boy doesn’t chase stuff much anymore although he usually can’t really see either with his hair haha he’s slowing down too getting older .Hey @Ricky Vapes with all the bunny photos it got me thinking.
