I'm so frustrated with my mail carrier there's this one older guy who I've caught numerous times claiming that he can't deliver the mail because of an obstruction or nobody being home to sign for it when there is no obstruction and he never tried to contact anyone. When I got the Armageddon delivered it was signature mandated and I'm looking at my Tracker app and it says that no one was available to sign for it but I know for a fact that no one attempted to deliver it because my house is puny and me and my husband were both sitting right here. So knowing how this Postman is I march out to the mailbox and sure enough he's sitting there at the community mailboxes I go up to him and I asked about my package, he hands me my package and says well it's dark out... but yeah when you don't deliver to this neighborhood that you know you have to get out of the car for until after 7 at night it's going to be dark. Yesterday I was supposed to get my vapewild package which has a gift in it that I can't get again because it was a special Black Friday thing. It says it'll be delivered before 8 at 7:50 I see the mailman go by he went through my neighborhood past the mailboxes and drove out saying that the packages and all the mail was undeliverable that day due to having no access. Usually they consider no access basically if the mailman has to get out of the car to deliver the mail but the way the post service set up the boxes here they have to get out no matter what so that's not applicable here. There's plenty of access to where they are there was plenty of access last night he just chose not to deliver the mail which he does pretty much one out of three times that he's on duty. I just needed to vent because it's so frustrating and of course because they don't even attempt to deliver the mail you don't get one of those slips that c but you can collect your mail somewhere and therefore you can't just ask them to hold the mail at the facility so you can pick it up. You have to hope that he decides to come a little earlier than next day to the place he has to get out of the car for because after the second attempt they no longer try and while they're supposed to hold it for a certain amount of time at the post office sometimes they just ship it back to the sender which then looks like your fault because to an outside person it would seem that your mailbox was not available but in fact it's just the postman lying and it's not even my mailbox to begin with it's a community mailbox. I'm so frustrated it's one thing to wait I don't mind waiting I have no problem waiting for fasttech and other orders like that I don't like it when I can basically have to pay shipping again because my mailman refuses to do his job and then lies about the reason for it. I'm thinking about reporting this to USPS but then I'm afraid my packages will start going missing. I know no one can help me with this but I just needed to vent at how ridiculous this is

That's bloody terrible. He's a lazy good for nothing who doesn't deserve his job. You absolutely must report him for it. I'm sure that USPS would like to hear about a dishonest employee. And they won't tell him who complained. Don't complain through your local office go straight to the top... I expect their website will steer you in the right direction....

If there's one thing I can't stand it's dishonesty .....sheesh.

Morning shinies

Built the Krma RDA this morning. Airflow wide open is my perfect draw. it's more restricted than the NarCa RDA but a lot more open than the Venna RDA.

Piece of cake to build, huge well, and I'm testing out the flavour right now

You should definitely get it off the desk collecting dust when you have time. It's an excellent RDA and one of my favorites that's in regular use.

Me? I’d report them. And a real official report so there is no question you’re serious. If packages or real mail then go missing I’d follow up with the regional postal people as that’s a federal crime. You’re entitled to service and if they don’t provide it you should have the right to complain without fear of retribution. You’ll know if something goes missing after it tracking all the way to your local post office. If they then “lose” it they’re breaking the law and are subject to more than immediate termination. And one thing a postal worker, especially an older worker wants it that. They’re staying in that job for all the benefits they sure don’t want to lose.

As it sounds like this a a community postbox system, if you can get neighbors on board too they’ll have no choice but to change policies.

Agree. Report him. There is no excuse for him not to do his job. That’s his route, whether it’s light or dark rain snow sleet etc. you can take a picture- or have a neighbor do it - of the mail boxes to prove they are accessible.

If I were you, I’d confront him one time first. I’d tell him straight up, you get my mail to me because that’s your job, I don’t want to hear any excuses. If you can’t do it, retire.

I got up in the Fed ex guy’s face one time. He left one package somewhere around the block and the next one behind my truck, like a foot from the road.
See that f-ing porch? My stuff makes it to that porch or its going right up your .....

We had the same mail carrier for 20 years, Martha. She knew everyone by name, always a smile on her face, wonderful woman. A few years ago she retired. At first I thought everything was fine with the new carrier. One day I walked down to the box to check the mail, and looked down. My new Dewalt hammer drill was in a box, sitting by the road. Someone could have stopped and picked it up, I would have been out $300. I spoke to her about it the next day and she said she was afraid of getting stuck in the mud (gravel driveway, no mud), but she was very cagey about it, I knew she was using that as an excuse. We talked about it, and I told her why it was a bad idea leaving packages by the road, no problems since then. I guess new postal carriers sometimes have to be trained by their customers. I miss Martha. Lol

I've been lucky, never had a bad postie. Full time anyway. There was a temp fill in guy some years ago who was a pain. He was enormous, horizontally speaking, and I guess he just didn't like getting out of the van. A few times I found mail on the ground underneath the mailbox. I think if something slipped while he was putting it in the box he just left it there. And packages too big to go in left on the ground by the box.

If service got really bad I would complain but it would take a lot to get me to that point. I complained once about trash collection and they made sure I regretted it. It isn't good to be the nail that sticks up.

Rabbits are in plague proportions in some parts of NZ. Especially down (or is it up) where @AngeNZ lives. They plague especially the farmers. In some parts they started introducing a virus to control them. Naturally the bunny breaders and people that have domesticated bunnies are up in arms. They apparent introduced the virus in my area to, but I don't see any difference in their numbers. They are everywhere when I walk the dogs.

Feral rabbits have been a major environmental pest in Aus for over a century. Mxyomatosis was the first virus they introduced to control them in the 1950s. It wiped out about 95 percent of the population but they built immunity and by the 80s the numbers were back in plague. In 1996 the calicivirus was introduced and that's kept numbers down but not everywhere. I feel little sympathy for domestic rabbit breeders/pet owners when I know what terrible environmental damage feral rabbits do.

Yeah that postman should definitely be reported. It reminds me of a postman here not so long ago that dumped post because he was to lazy to do his job. He got fired and jailed. Its a serious offence and the authorities should be notified.

That's true @Fredman1 but the problem is the feral predator numbers build up with the rabbits then when the rabbit populations fluctuate down, the feral predators move on to what's left of our small native mammals and birds. We really have no native predators except the larger birds of prey and some of the larger snakes (and dingoes if you count them as native) that will eat a mammal the size of a rabbit. I can see your problem in NZ though. I guess a man made problem like this needs a man made solution and .22s are a part of that.

Yes, I'm the early one. Some of these have a long way to travel and I like to get them out with plenty of time to spare. I do this every year and they all get to their destinations before xmas. A couple are international. I used to drive my wife up the wall when I would have a bunch of her presents all wrapped and stacked early. And yep, like a little kid she would pick them up, shake 'em and try to guess what was inside. Fun times.

Built in the early 20th century. The problem with rabbit (and wild dog) proof fences is that they stop the natural migrations of native animals like kangaroos as they move around to find feeding grounds

Perfumer Flavorist posts some excellent, and very useful, info on flavors. If anyone is interested here are some Rose flavor notes I received today.

Don't laugh, it's used in a lot of foods and beverages. More than you would think. It's mainly an enhancer unless someone intentionally goes for Rose ejuice (Virgin Vapor anyone?).

There are really good tips for using it to bring out the authenticity and realism in several fruits on page 2 and tea's on page 3.

Rose flavoring can be strong (depending on whose it is) so I would only start with a single drop in a test mix.

Haven't used my Falcon King in weeks. Rebuildables are getting all the love, but I like my FK a lot. So, I decided to see how it would look on the Vaporesso Gen. I think they look pretty good together. The Gen makes the FK shine.

I volunteer every afternoon at my son's after school program he attended when he was in elementary school. It's a Mandarin Chinese, Math, Art program that also has Summer camps, like Fencing, Golf, Tennis, Badminton, Computer Programming, and some others. My son was actually the first student there almost 13 years ago. Time doesn't slow down for any of us. 13 years is like the blink of an eye. Anyway, I am in the school van waiting for my 12 kids to come out of the public school, so I can take them to, wait for it.....Champion Learning Academy. Been doing it for 8 years. I love the owners, and I love the kids. 95% of them are Chinese. A handful of American kids come to take Chinese as a second language. Boy, oh boy! Did I wander.

My husband was the opposite. Last minute every year. I had to hide all the gifts I bought and only bring them out and wrap them the last week of December or he’d go nuts.
When I started doing most of it online he about lost it and I finally said “if you don’t like how I do it, do it yourself. If you don’t want to deal with buying and wrapping all this stuff, you’d best just shut up and let me get on with it” and that’s what he did.



I think he just worried that the sooner I started, the more I’d spend. And it always looked like so much stuff. But I had a budget and I stayed within it every time. He was always pleasantly surprised when I totaled it up.
