Sh*t...what type of drive was it and how old?

a WD green 2TB 5400rpm. 4 years old.
it'll be getting the funeral of hammering shortly.
a replacement has been ordered which will rebuild the array without interruption. the NAS is still ticking over nicely.

To keep the shinyitis in check occasionally I choose matte black. Matte black doesn't shine so hard... IMO
