Hello friends,

My Topside Light left China on 02 December 2019 but still haven't gotten any updates. Usually takes about 10 business days for it to arrive.

None the less, I wanted to share a newer purchase. Baby doll and I are dog lovers but don't have the yard for one and I don't feel it's humane to keep one without that.

We ended up getting a fish. Got this bestest little boy for $5 CAD. I'm over $500 CAD in so far on all the other things that go with it. I thought vaping was expensive, but I think i've found a new hole in my pocket.

Friends, Family; please say hi to my bestest little boy:

Dom, get a French Bulldog. They don't need a lot of exercise, are mainly couch potatoes. We have a small 5x8 mt back yard, and we walk him for pleasure. He rarely stays out, goes for his business and it's barking at the door to let him in. He does have his hyperactive times but it's mostly the sweetest. If you have very young children avoid, but if your kids are 8 or above go right ahead. You'll love him!

What did you buy? I'm planning on an SD this time but all servers I find are 5 bays. I have an OLD WD.
i have a 20 bay server in my back room but running it as a NAS would be a tad pricey. and hot. and noisy.
I've got a 4 bay NAS with 4 2TB drives in RAID5 so 6TB of usable space and it can take a lost disk (though I'm anxious to get the replacement 4th back in). no SSD and all WD. quiet and fast enough for my needs (the whole lot gets backed up encrypted remotely also).

    Morning shinies ;)

My Valkyrie's head thought she'd make an appearance:p
Here's all of her 8 little 1mm holes!!

And here is another bigger hole approximately 4mm in diameter, it's known as the Flavour Hole:drool:
    View attachment 857499
Now the question is Ange? Could you handle 12mm of Brunhilde airflow and two coils?

Nope, the tallness of the RTA is what put me off it - along with the dual coils. For me personally, I prefer single coil, short RTAs, 2-3.5mm id airflow :D I was just posting my thoughts for @Zazie But I didn't realise it had an additional 4mm airflow hole, so it will probably be too much air for her too :thumb:

Every time I put a phone or a mike next to my snoring frenchie he stops. And he snores very loudly, almost like a person!

I have a Frenchie too. My littlest granddaughter was playing with her and asked “Why does her face make so much noise?” I said “Better her face than the other end!”

My sweet boy Levi who recently passed away snored like a train coming through the room!
I was actually able to record it a couple of times.
I miss not hearing him now

Yeah, but after 40 years in the profession let me assure you that HD fail. Just yesterday thank god it was hooked up to the UPS, otherwise it would have crashed. 2 TB SSD are not that pricey. Yes, little room but I just use it for tax info and important papers, we don't use streaming or anything. Some day I'll be able to have it!

OMFG, just yesterday it was farting and smelled like a decomposing corpse. We bought him a new bowl, upright so it wouldn't swallow so much air. Yet, at times it's terrible!

    not yet. you?
No but I just talked to my friend at the convenience store and he said that it won't make a difference on the MA ban. No flavors allowed (including menthol tobacco) and a 75% tax. That's on top of the 6.25% state tax. What concerns me is that some online vendors are explicit about having to report your purchases and information to your state. I just made a purchase last night from a NJ based vendor and they had the spiel on their website. Litecig has it, too. I have never received a tax bill from MA for vape products BUT when I was still buying cigs and made online purchases I got slapped with a bill. I remember it clearly. Duval Patrick was our governor then. We might be safer with Chinese vendors.

I thought it was on the buyer to declare the taxable products when submitting yearly income taxes. That would explain why you haven't been billed by the state yet.

Well the Redemption and some juice arrived. Nice atty. Put the squonk pin in and it’s having its Jacuzzi treatment. Now to decide what to build in there. That air hole sure is big. Good thing you can dial it down.

In the meantime, I’m in an independent living sorta place. All mail and packages go through the front desk. This is the text of how USPS reported the delivery.

I had both freshwater and a full on saltwater coral reef tank with fish running for about 8 years. That was a serious money pit but a great hobby for my daughter and me. Five gallon jugs of saltwater weigh about 50 pounds thanks to all the salt (of course the water itself first was made with a RO/DI purification system you avoid any contamination of the reef tank). Lugging those around got old quick.

Add in the testing sets for every imaginable factor in the water, the constant electronic monitoring of temperature, salinity, water level, pump controllers and other odds and ends and there was a lot of money all around a glass tank. And the special halogen lights to precisely simulate the correct wavelengths for under the surface.

Reef keeping us up there with boat ownership and horses where I’d you have to ask how much you can’t afford it. It was a ton of fun for both of us and she learned a lot of biology and chemistry from it.

    Do you remember the 2540RP?

Was that one of those paper tape sorta readers? With the perforated paper tape? IIRC yeah I remember but never used one. I did use a rebranded modified HP something for dedicated purpose that used a cassette tape for data upload and storage. Only time I remember seeing that in use. Good idea though but obviously linear. No way it could stand up to random access.

Built out the Redemption with some triple fused Clapton coming in at 0.16 ohm. The amount of cloud is embarrassing. Pretty good flavor and nicely machined and finished. I would say maybe I can use it outside, but I’m afraid passing cars would have to turn on their fog lights. Definitely great for what it is. It’ll definitely be an occasion type of atty, can’t see using it as an adv unless I was in the Superdome and they allowed vaping.

Boat keeping isn't that expensive if you keep it under 30 feet and are willing to work on it, and you keep a sailboat :)

Yes, you're right. It's up to the buyer to declare their taxable out of state purchases. When Gov. Patrick sent out those bills I can only guess that he was forcing us to pay those taxes that we hadn't declared in previous years. It was only for cigarettes and I have no idea if it's still being enforced since I stopped buying cigs online after that. Do you declare your taxable online purchases? I don't. I can't wrap my head around a 75% tax on my vape purchases. I don't know if I should risk it and wait for another one of those bills to come or start sending my US orders to an out of state friend. It's still my purchases and I'm a MA resident so how is that supposed to work:confused:?
