morning all.
last couple of months I've been paying extra and buying stuff i want quickly (usually within 2 days) from the UK. tired of the worsening transfer times from on east coupled with pretty useless tracking. certain items I'm still happy to get from china but for things like rtas and drippers (not mods so much unless in a great sale) I'll source closer to home if limited budget allows.

Don't know how low you vape. Went for 0.3ohm. 3.5mm single coil. This is from Steam Engine.
It'll ramp a bit on the slow side. The heat capacity should preferable be in the green to...or at least yellow. Not that bad though...depending how patient you are :p
Kanthal will be faster.

Ahhh.

See I thought (didn’t read) that the SE had a stainless body, and that’s why it was special.

Oh well. Since I got the Atmizoo DotShell, I’ve finally been able to use my existing DotAIO...so I “needed” a backup!
It may be stainless but my comments still stand. It's a good piece of kit :)

Believe in the EU it isn't illegal to use larger tanks, but vendors cannot sell them. Might be the same in Canada, wouldn't hurt to look it up.
Yep...that's correct and it isn't illegal to possess high strength nic for personal use either.....one of those typical grey areas really.

0.8 x 0.2 ss316L (cause that’s what they had). Will that work? I love the Axials, I just don’t think I’ve gotten the optimal build in one yet. I vape relatively low wattage (ok, a LOT lower than most of y’all), so I’m battling ramp up and trying to keep a cooler vape.
That's the size I'm using Mel. Cool flavorful vape that oddly needs a bit more wattage than the tri cores. Guess due to the extra 3 wraps.

Thats the size i have several spools of.
Overall i love it, has a general quick ramp and similar surface area to a fused Clapton. However in my experience less wattage than claptons. But as already mentioned it depends on wraps etc...
I have been on a quad core coil kick lately but if memory serves i did 3mm with 5 or 6 wraps.
I think you will like it.

goodbye
LOL if you are asking me if I have PMS, I am also LEGIT home sick from work, and I forgot my afternoon meds and I just took them cuz I have to talk to the husband about our house getting destroyed after like 30K of SUPPLIES and a year of my husband's work, then yes.

I don't usually have a split personality, but sorry to offend, LOL. Not really, but I can say it. You don't have to know if I mean it or not.

Really, my apologies, it just seemed a bit.. broad perhaps? You will have fun with the list. LOL.

Anna

 LOL Anna! Wasn't' even thinking PMS.

It was the meds I was thinking. :p I don't know about others, except for what I have read here, but not everyone's vaping style is that cut and dry....including mine. Depending on my mood, I may want to mtl while sitting at my desk working or cruising the web. If I'm out and about, I'll probably do DL or RL. Definitely DL if I'm in the vape shop with my buddy's seeing who can cloud up the shop. But my preferences are in this order. 1. RL 2. MTL 3. DL. I think with the new mod, a single coil atty that can do RL and MTL will be good. I am also open to both RTA's and RDA's. Also as I said, I prefer top af, but bottom af is ok if it doesn't have a leaking problem. I have both styles in my collection. I trust the experienced Shiny's here have lot's of suggestions. I thank you for your input. Hope you feel better today Anna.

Have not heard that but wouldn’t surprise me.

To my knowledge, PST tax on vape products have been increased to 20%. And nicotine will be restricted to 20mg/ml. Do not know how that plays into DIY, Dashvapes is another that sells DIY with a Burnaby warehouse for BC purchases.

Purchasing vape products elsewhere in Canada, regardless of hardware or consumables will result in that 20% PST. And I would be very cautious about buying juice outside Canada. Canadian law already restricts the amount of juice that can be purchased abroad – with a couple of Canadian members here on ECF experiencing customs confiscating their orders. Imagine BC will restrict that even further.
Thanks it’s 27 percent I believe because they add on 7 percent GsT to the 20 percent.

I’ve found a few Canadian sites that haven’t charged me that tax so I’ve been Using them. But we’ve been getting these texts about how the government is wanting to change the laws again so there is a complete flavour ban , 0mg ban, no tanks bigger than 2ml, and no bottles sold bigger than 10ml.

I think it’s going to pass and now there’s talks about the tax not being enough and talks of raising it to 70 percent. We’re kind of helpless if the government wants to do this they will.

The PST use to be 7%, but has now increased to 20% - so the reality is they have only added a 13% tax. GST is 5% but added to the total of the retail price plus the PST tax. So…

$100 worth of vape gear
PST +20% = $120
GST +5% = $126 total

I have not heard about a 70% tax hike – sounds a bit extreme as does the flavour ban and the volume restrictions. I’d take those text with a healthy grain of salt. If the rest of Canada has implemented somewhat reasonable regulations, I can’t see BC wanting to stand out like an angry cat in a dog show by implementing extremely unreasonable regulations. This would create quite the backlash.

Well from what I’ve read on the government website that’s exactly what B.C. wants to do. They hope having the toughest restrictions will cause the rest of Canada to follow. And it should be 27 percent at least for here. 7 plus 20 percent.

Oh my bad it’s 26 according to dash vapes. I’ll try to find the legislature website again where they explain how B.C. WILL have the toughest vape laws and how some say the 20 percent increase is not enough. They hope this will cause our rules and regulations to become federal. I almost threw the phone when I read teens take a hit to the walllet harder than most. Yea right lots of teens have rent and bills to pay. Seems the only people these laws won’t effect are young people.

It’s nice to be optimistic but in B.C. at least we will be screwed soon.

Do you have links for the proposed regulations?

As for the 20% tax, from the BC provincial government if searching for BC Vape Tax. The below quote was taken from their PDF outlining the new tax.

Quote:

Effective January 1, 2020, you must charge and collect PST at a rate of 20% on retail sales and leases of vapour products. This means you must prepare to make all necessary changes to your billing and invoice systems to reflect the rate change from 7% to 20% on January 1, 2020.

I made the stupid mistake of leaving a juice filled boro in my Billet Box for over a week without vaping. New toys distracting me.
Opened it up last night to find juice all over the screen and controls - the hot humid weather having thinned out the juice.
Cleaned with iso and dried and it seems ok. I'm hoping the quality seal around the board on the authentic BB has saved me.

The positive contact definitely needs a scrub with deoxit and a layer of deoxit gold.
