goodbye
Mornign children!

the shinies are back though my last order still didnt get packaged: squonking beckons. But i shan't give in without a decent, nay, a serious sale.

mmuh!
you nag! serious right on the spot! that was the last hting i told the complaintboxlady lady last nihgt_ i should prbbly rewick tomorrow.

i am starting to suspect everyone says gear is good for flavour because of the condensation.. not liking the cloud either compared to elevate.
ah well.
wait you have changed the tip_ just mouth feel or you find they're bad air/cloud control the orginial drip tips

The Elevate is being rebuilt today. I like them both. The Gear is just a little simpler to build. You just have to make sure the cotton is just barely inside the juice well. Too much cotton stuffed down in there, and you'll have your dry hits. I also comb it a little to help the capillary action.

I changed the dt for the matchy. I didn't really like the tips that came with it anyway.

This is the cotton and coils I use. Both give me great results. Cotn seems to be a little more absorbent than the Firebolt brand I was using before.

goodbye
I have never ordered from here but this looks really nice. Just realised I don't own any regulated squonkers...
SqEvo Squonk MOD by Psyclone Mods

I broke out a tape measure because I never remember what size my mods are, so I checked the SqEvo dimensions against the Armageddon. It’s about 10mm taller, otherwise the same size. I’d call that small now, let’s see who posts a hand check first... I’d like to put $5 on Skunk.

I will have one in my hand today and will take a picture. I had it in my hand a couple days ago, and it is one great feeling device. Chances are high at $115.00 that I'll be coming home with it. If I do, I'll be doing that apologizing I mentioned earlier. Anyone got an extra room I can stay in while I'm in the dog house? :D

I decided not to get the Psyclone SqEvo. It is over $100.00, only 60w, and a single 18650. It is a beautiful, well built, solid mod that feels great in the hand, but I'm looking at more powerful devices right now. At least 90 to 100 watts, and runs a 21700. Maybe something like the Pulse X.

I can definitely chat about coils all day.

My main fixation on the DotAIO was to use it for Nic Salts.

I couldn’t do it before the DotShell arrived.

Now I’ve got a 1.5~ ohm build, Kanthal, ... cotton, fired on the third setting.

I’ve got the airflow almost entirely closed off.

It matches the Phix pod mod I like so much.
Are you using a 2.5 id or 3?
I've pretty much forgotten what I know about wire. I have some that I'm digging out after chores today. Ordered my rayon so I can build Monday night. Seems I still have a Coil Master jig.

Since you have yours could you do me a favor. Take a look at the clear part of the tanks, are they the same?

Dotshell docs claim they are stock, I want to switch the clear out for the black. I remember seeing somewhere the stock tank can be taken apart.

Thanks in advance

I have the unregulated pulse, (80?) nice mod. It’s a tad bigger than the Armageddon, only a tad though. I imagine the X is bigger still, but I haven’t looked at the dimensions. If that’s not going to be a problem for you, and if you’re not a die-hard dna fan, the X should suit you alright.

I have 3 Stentorian Rams. They are supposed to be stabwood but I'm just not sure. If they aren't wood will it bother anything if I oiled them up? Other than my luna it's the only stabwood I own and I want it to last plus look all shiny shiny :D

I don't know how good it is for them but I applied a little turtle wax on mine, buffed them and they look good.

My Samsung 25r batteries are no longer holding a charge. They're over 2 years old and sat for 1 of those years.

Decide to try the Molicell batteries. 2 from Liionwholesale.com.
I used 25Rs for years and just picked up some Molicels and am very happy with them. Going to pick up more soon

i don't know, the elevate's cloud feels much thicker_ they're both nicely restrictive, but the elevate feels fuller.

i'll keep playing with it the tips and try other coils next time_

speaking of which_ you tried quadcore fused clapts? i'm wondering how aliens would fare against them cloud/flavour wise

opened the tanks up and they looked still quite white_ retucked'em and filled them back up_ i shouldn't do it just because i feel the itch.. all the frustrating rewicks; now i'm hooked. how often you rewick yours?

i'm getting alets from @charlie1465 :headbang: welcome back indeed! how's trix? feeling the groove again:rickroll:?

It’s okay for you to prefer things that are different from other people’s preferences. Gear is one of my favorites, but then it’s the way I build and wick and what juice I use and my power settings and how I hit and just what I like or don’t like.

And I got some alerts from @charlie1465 also, hi buddy! Been thinking of you, hope things are getting better!

agreed. i guess with elevate and ni80 quadcores what i'm experiencing is having found my favourites from the get-go. what do you know; being lucky can also cause mild disappointment.... i blame @AngeNZ

Hey all, hope everyone is having a shinier Saturday than me <3 I was expecting my new RDA today but my enthusiasm was summarily stymied by those four little words of USPS failure...

In other not so shiny news, a cap popped off of one of my molars last night. Emergency weekend dentistry, anyone? Oh yeah, gotta love it :D

I've pretty much forgotten what I know about wire. I have some that I'm digging out after chores today. Ordered my rayon so I can build Monday night. Seems I still have a Coil Master jig.

    I’m actually using a 2.0mm coil...or as close to it as I can get...I’m using a 5/64” drill bit, and I think it’s about 0.006” off from 2.0mm!

    Anywho...it’s tiny.

    I’m using 29g Kanthal. Like 8 wraps.

You gotta be gentle when wicking the coil as well...29g deforms easily.

I had opted to go with 28g which is easier to wick, but the thicker wire has a longer ramp up time, and a longer residual heat factor, which gunks up coils too fast for something like this.

I like two-wire twisted 28g coils in my BBox atomizers and 22mm Calix atties, for DL or restricted DL builds.

I really wanted something to replace my pod mods, since those are being given the axe first...thanks to the FDA’s campaign to “save the children”...*cough*StealTaxMoney*cough*

The tank looks extremely stock to me.

I have taken a tank apart...the one that came with my DotAIO RBA deck.

If you’re very careful, you can do it.

Might be hard to do/frustrating with the black/smoked tank because the color of the material would be hard to differentiate the little tabs.

But in short, the tanks can be disassembled, and the DotShell is using a stock tank.
