Thanks for the suggestions re squonks. I ended up ordering a beautiful red Topside single battery. Who knows I may end up on the dark side after all. Or not. I just want to make sure I had the option:

To squonk or not to squonk. That is the question.

I believe Shakespeare was mentioned in one of these threads.
To squonk.

Careful though the topside will spoil you with its ease of refilling. Then its hard to get others to measure up

To squonk is the answer.

I love my mechs and RDAs. Squonking just makes it so I can drip with one finger and no looking.

Got shiny mail today:

Yeah, not the usual hand check ;)

My new amazon paperwhite tablet. I've been resisting getting one for years, just using apps on my tablet to read instead. But with the amount I read, an LCD screen is getting harder on the eyes - so I went the e-ink direction finally.

It's frickin AWESOME
That's great --- e-ink is great for reading. I've had my ereader (kobo auraHD) since late 2013 and if I lost or broke it, I'd replace it right away.

Good morning shinies :)

Very early here but can't sleep as usual so here I am. Just before 5 in the morning and the night nurses will be stirring for the morning rounds soon.

if your window does not face east.you better look for it when you get out.

good morning Charlie! I hope you were able to get some sleep. Sleep is so important to our physical and mental health.

I have had one just one good night of sleep since the 1st week in October when I broke my hip. And I really feel the effects physically and emotionally. It’s especially difficult because I have bipolar depression and lack of sleep will mess up anyone but especially people with mental health issues.

Are you able to get any sleep where you are or is it too noisy. The mornings in hospitals start early and loudly lol!! Not conducive for healthy sleeping at all!!

I pray that you’re able to go home soon as planned. I’m pretty sure that after getting this infection you’d rather be safe than go home. So if you need to stay another day or two don’t be too disappointed. I know, easy for me to say but it’s so germy “out there” lol!

Have a great day Charlie and may ALL your Shiny dreams come true!! Well and for the rest of us too lol!!!

I was just watching a video on it and wow that’s so much easier than the couple I’ve used. Although truthfully the Pico Squeeze original isn’t pretty darn easy to get the bottle out. But I have made a bit of a mess putting it back in forgetting not to push on the bottle. Oops:shock: !!

Sara...thank you and yes I always find it difficult at best but here it has been virtually impossible to sleep at night. I just keep waking up to go to the bathroom.

I'm still needing platelet transfusions, particularly after last night where my nose got blocked therefore preventing my oxygen from working properly....all in all a terrible night. However after I took my meds at 05h00 I dropped off until eight and then again until nine forty five.

Thanks again for your kind concern

Good morning shiners! Another day, another delivery of something.

On a good note, my daughter got a job offer for a decent position to start immediately. Kinda nice after two years of graduate school. It might even improve my bank account. Of course then I’ll just squander invest it in more shiny stuff which I have no room for. Guess I’ll just move some of the overflow into the storage unit.

I don’t know how else to phrase this.... that just sucks. A solid nights sleep would do you a world of good. Last stay I used a sleep sound app on my phone. It drowned out enough of both the in room equipment and outside hall noise to get some sleep. We’re all rooting for you to get set free. I know it’s frustrating for it to be so tantalizingly close, but you’re almost there! Hugs and prayers continued.

Morning all <3 I think my wayward RDA may finally have found its way. I was expecting it to be returned to its origin and then resent but they seem to have fixed the label in Phoenix and turned it around from there. I got an "out for delivery today" notice this morning. What a twist! I hope the driver doesn't decide to take a mini vacay in Florida or something.
