maybe @Rossum can answer that or post where reo followers will see it.
I'm afraid I'm not that familiar with REOs or the 510s used in them. I did own one Grand and some Woodvils, but never really used them much. All but one cocobolo Woody got PIF'd, and the woody sits on a shelf about 600 miles from where I am right now.

The mods I favor use a very different 510, which I know intimately and have plenty of spares for.

Thanks Rossum, I'm on the fence on the REO purchase. On the one hand, I've wanted one close to a decade and it's a piece of vaping history, on the other hand, I can't use all my RDA's on it and the center pin (which is threaded from what I've read) might not be available to replace. Still mulling it over.

I found a Reo Grand for sale at a good price. Only thing is the brass feed tube is broken. How hard would it be to replace this, and what would I need to do it? I'd order the part, but Reosmods is closed, suggestions anyone? Is it worth buying, or is it a paperweight now?
Change for copper and use braising or stay with brass and use solder. Brass would need a lot of heat eg welding. That's if my assumptions regarding fixing are correct :)

Hope this helps :)

Those are so so so gorgeous but when they first came out and many were auto firing it scared me to ever buy one, even after they fixed the issue...

Call me paranoid however I love love love the way they look! So classy!
Yes the Dots and the Billet Box both.... that's why I have them :D:D:lol:

There is a whole lotta subjective "nudging" of the data goin on in there. Not to mention the far less than entirely conclusive nature of the data itself.
The whole point of meta analysis is to point towards a trend rather than provide conclusive proofs. It's a very good scholarly analysis actually and puts forward some very interesting hypotheses.

Don't forget the basis of the article looks at the known effects of nicotine on a specific antigen and in no way addresses the damage caused to the lungs by other substances in the cigarette smoke. The study definitely points to the need for further investigation on this specific nicotine/antigen relationship as it may have some therapeutic benefits in terms of developing a treatment for the virus.

Good morning shinies

Good to see everyone in good spirits this morning in true shiny thread style after the recent shenanigans.

It's funny how affronted I felt that the usually unblemished record in this thread became almost tarnished for good :(

Love you guys

I read it again. Granting everything you say above.

Of the hypothetical trends discussed in this piece, and even the trends remain hypothetical, which do you feel, if any, is most likely to be true? In other words, if there is a conclusion that gains strength through this meta analysis, which is it?

Honest question.

Specifically nicotine's role in the uptake mechanism of the specific antigen which the virus uses to gain access to and penetrate the cell wall :)

EXACTLY!!! (You knew I was gonna say that didn't ya? :D )
And...
AND...
Since we're talking hypothesis here, IF the above is true, AND vaping delivers nicotine directly to the lungs minus the well established deleterious effects of inhaling cigarette smoke, HYPOTHETICALLY, vaping MIGHT provide that benefit in an otherwise far less dangerous delivery method.

If in terms of this virus, anything shows promise according to this abstract, it's that.

Of course there are a hundred yet unknowns, including how inhaling other substances in eliquid vapor might mitigate or eliminate said benefit.

However, it seems to me it might be worth investigating. I wouldn't hold my breath though. (no pun)

BB has shipped and is actually on the move!!
WHOOP
WHOOP!!!

Totes winning!

I gave up on replacing my Epetite and last night ordered an Aegis Solo 100W TC mod, along with some VG, locally. I have total faith it will arrive. The vape shop is online only and ive used it forever, and the seller is only 10 km away. Should be here Thursday. Yes, i paid slightly more than from the slow boat, but it will arrive :)

In FastTech news, both the first 2 packages are moving, slowly towards Australia finally. Today is the 3rd date given for my Tripod (the main reason for the order) to ship, after 2 x 7 day restocking delays and 1 x 10 day restocking delay. Just checking it now and theres nothing in the ETA field, so its the worst game of Will It Ship, ever....

I get real nervous anytime someone suggests that vaping might help protect against x or y, seen it many times over the last few years.

Ill take social distancing and hand washing over vaping on this one

OMG, Want, want, want. Damn this Shinyitis is rearing it's shiny, shiny head once again. Oh I just can't buy anything more, I have so many unopened boxes of mods and tanks, coils, nicotine, PG/VG, 500 1.6 coils for all the "Phill" (can't remember the Innokin tank name)tanks, flavourings, short fills, concentrates, pre made commercial juices, and other "stuff". I don't even know what else is shoved in my wardrobe.
One of my daughters and granddaughter live with me and hate my vaping. So all my stash is pretty much hidden in my wardrobe, I just don't want anybody to see the ridiculous amount I have stashed LOL. Lockdown would be the perfect time to
haul it all out and get it organised but unfortunately they are here all the time apart for going out for walks. Granddaughter even said to me the other day "The courier man calls you by your first name" . Ohhh boy.

Oh the shiny is strong LOL. That purple and gold looks like an Arabian, Genie in a bottle kind of thing, so pretty, so shiny. No I am content with all my vape "stuff". Yeah right!
It's 8.30 Tuesday night, going out for a walk, not much else to do in lockdown. Stay safe everybody.

OH it is, it is LOL. I tell you the Shiny is strong.
However I'm over it now, on my walk had a good talk to myself and decided I won't die if I don't get any more shiny trinkets. HA.
When I got back home 7yr old granddaughter had lost another tooth, how lucky are we here that Jacinda said today she has approved both the tooth fairy and the easter bunny as essential services. A bit of fun in these challenging times.

Shipping from anywhere in the states has been unpredictable at best lately.

Tracking is not correct, sites that used to get stuff to me in 2-3 days are now taking a week or more. It’s chaos, at least it has been for me. Nothing here is business as usual and it probably won’t be for quite some time.

Mine's only been stuck in Miami since the 1st, but it's just moved again today. Try tracking with USPS.com® - USPS Tracking® and email them if it's stuck. It is worth the wait though

this count as stuck or business as unusual?
