    POSSUM :w00t:

OH boy here in little "peaceful" ol NZ, people's eyes go grey at the mention of that word. They are the arch enemy here. We have a possum fur trade here...:w00t:
They were brought in by the early settlers for their fur. Their population soon exploded however...no predation.
With that population explosion the indigenous trees started to suffer. They feed on the new growth tips and that kills the trees. Beautiful trees hundreds of years old have dissapeared and its a continued fight to try and save what is left. People in neighborhoods even trap them as they are everywhere around here. One stopped me in my tracks (scared the hell out of the dog) one dark night when I first heard its unearthly sound.
Yeah I don't blame the possum (beautiful creature), but I LOVE and treasure trees more.

I discovered the benefits of possum/merino wool socks and gloves. Possum fur is a hollow fibre
Even better is the fully hollow fibre possum/alpaca socks

New Zealand wasn't made to have any mammals. Pesky humans messed up the joint.

In my corner of the world, they wear shorts with hoodies. Weirdos.
Oh boy tell me about it...actually i'm dressed like that atm . Its autumn and the weather is in between. What blows my mind is the ones walking around bare footed (or in sandles) with the full winter kit on....weirdos indeed :w00t:

Send them an email through the site and ask for a discount. Mama J might cut you a break, they are a great company. You can pm Roundhouse here on ecf as well.

My feet have been numb since 1991. You get used to it. Though I hope you don't have to.
I really hate it and at the moment it's really debilitating....but hey thanks for that :D

No, they did tell me it was permanent with gradual improvement if you were lucky. Was yours due to chemo too?:)
