Happy to hear you fired it up again and like it.
On the original the dt is a two piece deal. It just unscrews from under the top cap. Once removed you can pop any 510 dt on it. I've gotten used to Atmizoo's dt.
Thought I saw at FT where a couple folks had other dt's on theirs. Maybe it's a different clone??? IDK how many different cloners there were.
The AF inserts from the authentic will work on the clone. Atmizoo released some new ones to offer more RDL-DL options after folks asked for better fine tuning.
@Pigs, I really like the Tripod a lot. Great flavor w/every juice I've tried. Easy to coil/wick. I've had zero issues with mine.

Building on it is very much like building on the newer Kayfun's (K5, Prime, KFL19). The deck is very similar. I usually set my coils ~2mm above the airflow. About 1mm above the coiling guide cutouts.

I trim the ends of the wick to the top of the black o-ring. They just touch the bottom of the juice wells (just like a Kayfun).

Note the space under the shoulders of the wick. That's to keep the wick off of the center block and prevents any juice from entering the AF. I use a thicker paperclip to get that set. It is just like building a Kayfun. I use both cotton and rayon in them. Either works great for me.
