What a bummer on the code but a good decision on waiting as they might have good sales for that date.
I've never noticed in years prior, but do vape sites generally have massive sales on 4th of July and similar holidays?

That is unfortunate to hear about the Colossal. I was planning on grabbing one this week. I thought it looked like a pretty good mod. I'm in the market for a couple of single battery mods and I liked the look of the Colossal.
there are a lot of colossal users in this thread that do not share that sentiment

I got vape mail today. Three Drag S's and two Kylin M's. A steam Crave Aromamizer lite and accessory for the drags. I am like a kid in a candy store. I put together one of everything except the mizer. Can someone tell me how to make a coil for the RBA for the Drag. Wire gauge? Size? wraps? I would like it to be about .20. I have not built anything in ages and need some guidance. HELP

Good to know. One question I really haven't found an answer to is the Colossal pretty durable? I know it probably would not compare to something like an Aegis (which I will probably end up getting as well).

I think Asmodus make good mods, one of the better china makers IMO, I have 2 minikins (1 has a sticky fire button, hence 2 of them), a Colossal, Agmighty and one special stabwood Ohmsmium, I don't use the Ohmsmium much, as look great when polished, but when used for a while it dulls down, so I take it out for while and then goes back in the cabinet :)

@AngeNZ might be able to help out here with some handy Colossal info, she's a hard workin' farming girl so her Colossal's would get a good work out and covered in cow :censored: all day:w00t:
Mine are kept in a cabinet and are only handled with velvet gloves on:p

Ha! Pico was another one I was looking at. I had pretty much narrowed it down to focus on the Colossal, Pico 75 or 25, and Aegis Solo. I recently purchased the Swag II and love that one, but could use a couple more single mods.
If you like the Swag, you’d probably like the Pico. They’re pretty close in size/form. I love the Colossals, but I hold my mod with my thumb running up the mod to the fire button, mod cradled in my palm. I ended up getting several. Pico to me was very awkward. I PIFed most of mine, kept a few as loaners. I love the Aegis Solo, except for the rubbery coating vs pants pocket battle lol. Any of those are solid choices, it just comes down to what is most comfortable to you in shape/size.

I have eight Colossal's with three in rotation now. They're excellent mods. My Dog has sent a couple of them flying w/her tail. Nothing broke, they still work and look fine. I would say, yes, they're durable. I don't find them to be slippery. Fits my hand perfectly.

Thank you, ladies. I'll probably get one. I like the form factor.

My problem with Asmodus is purely hand feel. It's a great mod, but, try as I may, I just can't fit it comfortably in my hand. It's just a tad too short, a smidge too heavy and a tiny bit too slippery. My poor pinky finger has no place to go and is constantly looking for a place to rest. I don't know why it is. It's also the reason I never use my Pico--too short.

I like to grasp/palm/grip my mods so that I have 4 fingers firmly rested on one side of the mod and my thumb on the other, working the fire button. My most comfy mod is Aegis Solo--it's just so graspable. It fits perfectly in my hand and and feels very secure because it's textured and soft and just right.

    Go figure.

    Greetings, Shinies!

As you well know, there's no 'one size fits all' in vaping. The colossal works for me with my grip, but my grip is different to yours - I hope you end up loving the Cold Steel

and don't forget about looking for a Colossal sized Gear RTA too ;)

with the airflow half open, it's comparable to the Hastur MTL just a lot shorter :D

    I haven’t killed one yet lol. They’re apparently drop/knock over/cat proof.
The Aegis is practically bulletproof on the other hand. And, my loaner Pico looks road rash beat to heck, but works fine. I have to wonder about what it went through when it was away lol

What do you do with your pinkie? Curl in under the mod?

This is a serious question. :D

As you said, it's not an Aegis. But it is metal, apart from the battery compartment. It easily handles knocks, falls, drops and swipes from Luna (kitty) I've had my gunmetal chrome for 18 months, and the only damage is on its .... ;)

    What she said! :thumb:

I have two Asmodus mods; the Colossal and the Tribeaut. The Colossal is, I think, a better mod, but the Tribeau is a delight to use. It's my takeaway Asmodus--just fits my hand like a glove. Lightweight, grippable, and totally cute (I have a red one). They are similar in size, but the Tribeaut is triangular and its fire button is just a bit larger and is positioned just a tad higher on the mod--and it makes all the difference in the world for me. Go figure.
