I have come to believe Chicagoans think working is a federal crime....

This is now day 15 of my fasttech order doing nothing but sitting in Chicago AFTER going through customs and being released.

I want my stuff at this point and feel they are holding it hostage.

Good morning! It's Monday. :(
I had exactly the same with a package from Chicago which had taken off apparently from one of the airport's but I then didn't hear from it for weeks and weeks :)

I feel your "blahness". :) My last order from Canada was a major adventure. Royal Canadian Post was super quick in getting it to the US. Cheers to RCP!

Once USPS rec'd the pkg it sat in SanFran, after customs release, for the next couple weeks with no updates. Then, yay an update, it was its way to me. But as adventures go it was en route for nearly 2 more weeks before finding me. I had this vision of a postal employee riding a mule driven 1800's USPS cart.

Yes, USPS are hostage takers or our Int'l vape mail.
least they could do is tell us their ransom demands

Oh yeah, good morning OP!!! Bah-da bah-da-da-da Monday, Monday ;)

That is encouraging. I just made my very first Fasttech order yesterday. I can't wait to get it......in 2022.
Grow a beard. Be patient. Don't check tracking 361 times a day. More patience. Drink decaf. Alternatively, meet up with @Letitia for margarita's and a vape.

As long as you did not choose express epacket it should get to you quicker.

I placed a FT order on the 7th. Even chose USPS Expedited Service. Guess what??? It still says "A shipping label has been prepared...".
Routine Covid Delays.

DHS is only reasonable shipping service from China but their prices just aren't worth it. Costs more to mail than to buy the gear using them.. hahaha

Your right though, it's better to pay then just forget you ever ordered something... then when you get a package it's like a surprise! Haha

Right. DHL would have cost me $34. My bits and bobs order was like 30 bucks. I did pay the extra $3.24 for USPS expedited service. But I still don't know what that really means though. Older slow horse versus mule?

It usually takes 3 weeks to get a Fasttech order delivered, for me.

It all depends what hub it comes into though. My Vaporesso order cleared customs the day after my Fasttech order, except Vaporesso came in through New York and Fasttech through Chicago.

I've been sitting here now for over a week waiting for the topper I ordered from Fasttech, but Chicago just isn't moving.

This is the second time I've had problems with the Chicago hub, and if I could figure out how to bypass Chicago altogether I would. They really do seem allergic to doing their jobs at the post office there, COVID or no.

I just got a FT package that came through Chicago. It cleared customs and quite a while later it reappeared over on the east coast near NY. Seems like they often don't do a scan when stuff leaves Chicago, so your topper might actually be on its way to some distant USPS facility. Stuff leaving Chicago seems to randomly go to another location without regard to its final destination. I guess it gets thrown on whatever truck is leaving that day. Stuff arriving in CA seems to have an easier time. It leaves the arrival depot fairly quickly and heads directly to its final destination.

Now the political side has banned overtime, while they are already seriously understaffed due to the virus. It can only get worse. Which seems to be the intention. They have a new Boss appointed recently whose mandate appears to be to cause them to fail.

I also paid 3 bucks for the "expedited" shipping. Figured it couldn't hurt anything.

Jeepers, your mother must have been uncomfortable when you were getting that done.
Never asked but she was very happy when I popped out and screamed "Hello World" followed by "Got Milk?".

If you were born with a tattoo, would it be considered a birthmark?
Ok Dr. Redbird, you a science guy? I just don't know. Whoever did it did a nice job though. o_O

Oh and a very slight correction it's on my forearm. I was never good with geography.

I just looked up USPS expedited shipping. The joke is on us ding-dongs who paid for a USPS service that does not exist. Per USPS, expedited service is Priority Mail Express International. That would cost a whole heck of a lot more than $3.24. <--- Should have been my clue. Oh well, FT is now $6.48 richer thanks to us. :D

I could have bought a few more el-cheapo DT's w/that $3.24. :p

I guess that would change if it was a sought after item though. Like you bought few of something at a high retail price and put them away. They become obsolete after that. Now someone wants it. I say the price you paid is fine if you did not use it except for trying it out
My wife and I used to buy and sell antique Ransburg glassware, pottery and toleware. Back in the 30's-70's it was all cheap brand new (relative). We moved a lot of product (also Roseville and Hull). Also sold some very rare pieces back into the Ransburg family.

Those are all Ransburg and each design was hand painted back in the day. I still have a lot of product and will get back into selling at some point. Had to take a break after she died.

My thoughts are simple and very capitalistic. Supply + demand always sets and determines market prices. It doesn't matter what the product is.

I do see where rare quality vape mods and atty's will absolutely fetch prices over retail in the future. That is just a no-brainer. :)

ETA: Look at property, housing + commercial. If it has that "spark" you will always command top dollar. Charlie and Rob know that very well.

Pretty sure a friend of mine collects Ransburg china. If you ever get back into the biz, I will NOT be telling her about it, @ShowMeTwice. She is a crazed compulsive shopper who needs to be kept away from the occasion of sin.
We have a couple clients in Maine. Chances are good your friend bought from us. I have a few clients who are very compulsive collectors. The good folks in Japan and in Europe absolutely love stuff from the 40's-50's.
