Good Morning SMT:wub:

Take care of that Ohmsmium there, I'll have it in my cabinet One day:lol:
Good morning Daniel!

Now onto this imminent threat I face from OZ...
Firstly you will have to get past the Dvarw Army of the North. If you succeed I pledge to you, oh Majesty of OZ, that I will personally hand the precious Ohmsmium over to you.

And, I will keep Carli out of the scrum entirely.

No Carli to contend with will make my task much easier;)
If it's only them Dwarfs now my Brunhilde's can deal with those things:w00t:

    Nooooooo, not the Hammer!!! :D

I don't remember if you have the Atmizoo or Ulton Tripod or the other one.

Try lubing the o-ring on the base with VG. Slop it on! This one...

Sufficiently lubricated, that o-ring helps the JFC to rotate smoothly.

Also apply some VG to the SS tabs just below the o-ring on each side of the deck. That will help when you are reconnecting the deck to the tank section. Even with the authentic it can be a little tight reconnecting those. Rotating the base a very tiny bit CW and/or CCW while connecting them will help.

Then when you try rotating the tank and if the JFC still doesn't budge then replace that o-ring. It is possibly loose and binding. If you have the Ulton Tripod the o-rings they supply are not the best as Mordacai noted in the Tripod thread.

Also if your AFC ring does not move easily, there are two o-rings that should be lubed underneath the AFC ring. Our Qorax Stan mentions lubing those in his video. See the 2 o-rings on the base, lower right-hand page three.

Good luck, and please No Hammer ... Yet. :D
I had so much VG slopped all over you could have vaped me
I don’t know what happened, but it finally slipped in. I couldn’t get it to press shut enough to get it to catch. Then when I tried to take it back apart, the base would only come out about a third of the way. Like it was caught on something.
It looks sharp on the tuxedo Mixx. I really need to fix the wick, but nooo way I’m tackling it right now. My hand is aching lol. A little turbulence never hurt anyone

@NolaMel --maybe this will make you smile--found it in another thread and thought about you. Hope you're doing OK.

A man walks into a bar in New Orleans.

Man: Can I have a corona and two hurricanes please?

    Bartender: That’ll be $20.20. :)

We got lucky. The bartender shorted us, one hurricane was a “virgin” not a double shot of 151 . I’m not complaining about Marco fizzling out though. Lot of mess those storms leave behind!

Though you might want to know what you, and those Brunhilde's, will be up against... I hope you own a real winter coat and boots.

This is what is waiting for the scrum...

If you make it past my Dvarw Army there is this good Fella...

He's about 3.65 meters tall (12 feet), give or take a foot.

    Good luck mate! :p

It sounds like the two SS tabs on the base might not be 100% lining up with the openings on the tank section. Or that o-ring is binding.

Is yours an authentic or clone? If it's a clone their machining may not be exactly 1:1. On mine there really is no wiggle room for the base and tank sections fitting together. I line up the tabs on the base with the openings on the tank section and it just fits. Tight, yes.

Found me 2 friends in SMT and Chanelvaps.
GREAT to see you, Katya :wub:

    ;) Figured as much.

How are you doing, Kat? Miss you in the Snail thread. You and Bear. It's not the same without you guys...

ETA: Have you heard from Bear? He's been MIA for a while. But then again, he does that often.

Clone. Ulton I think. I’m hoping it was just dry from being stored. I don’t remember it being this difficult, so I’m leaning towards that.

I was planning on PB's; glad to have RR's to turn to, too.

    P.S. Too.

I liked her video better not because it was better but because I fell in love with her drip tip. I tried to find one like that for years--never did. I still want it. :)

I have so much to look forward to now. Thanks, Mel.
It’s possible I forgot to lube the orings after I cleaned it for storage. If it had been this much trouble before, I would have PIFed it. I pulled it out because I ordered another one yesterday lol. If I’m wrong, we can be grumbly and irritated together
