Don't worry about the resistance, as what I posted was ni80 which is lower in resistance to the kanthal ones you've quoted. If you want to compare claptons etc to 28g round wire - it has more mass so it needs more wattage to heat up. But as it also has more surface area, it can produce more flavour and vapour.
In MTL terms - if you vape a 2.5mm id 6 wrap 28g coil @ 10 watts, a similar coil in a MTL clapton would probably need 12-15 watts. If you want to try it, I find that a plain clapton coil heats up/cools down the quickest - whereas MTL staples and MTL fused claptons need a lil bit more oomph. So something like this, if you want to use kanthal:
