goodbye
Excellent news, Shinies. Opinionated’s husband called. She’s in recovery. Everything went well, and quicker than anticipated. Prayers answered!

It's beautiful Ange. Is that your tractor between the car and pole? And is that Mt. Cook in the southern Alps? :)

Two more questions... Do you see this on clear nights?

Photo is from the Dark Sky Reserve. How far is that from you?

ETA: There is a rumor going around in a couple threads...

    billet box

    Ange neeeeeeeds a billet box

    SIDE FIRE BUTTON OOOOOOOOH!!!!

    From top to bottom:
Nah, BIL and 16yo neice hog the tractor, and that is one of his lil diggers (he collects farm machinery like I do mods)

Pointy one was Fox Peak, but it looks very similar. Mt Cook is huge, but as it's completely surrounded by mountain ranges it's not seen unless you are in the right basin. Load up Google maps and try this link

The reserve is down the road a bit. Yes, I've been there, and spent an awe-inspiring night looking through the telescopes. I saw the rings around Saturn, an extremely closeup moon and other absolute wonders

I've seen flashes of the Southern Lights, but nothing as stunning as the images in this article:
'Mesmerising, magical and addictive': Aurora Australis lights up New Zealand skies

And no I don't need a BB  if I go down yet another rabbit hole, I'm going to end up with the inventory of a vape shop

Ummm, yes you DO. Pinky swear! Double dog dare you to not buy one. You’ll end up with more than one anyway.

I just talked to Opinionated on the phone. She’s feeling okay, and is in her room. She said to say thank you for the prayers/positive thoughts. She can’t get online for some reason from the hospital wifi, so no worries if she’s awol until they cut her loose. She sounds good, I was ever so happy to hear her voice!
