Use fasttech and it takes 50% off; $5.52 with free shipping for a high flavor, pretty leak resistant, rda is decent.

To convert for non-squonking use, on the underside of the rda there's a small hole with an Allen screw in it. The rda comes with the Allen wrench of the right size. Remove the little Allen screw and put in into the hole in the 510 connector (it's threaded to take that plug).

That one comes with 10 different AF inserts so you can choose the one that suits you best (proper MTL to airy).

I have a Dvarw MTL FL and installed the 2x2.0mm AF insert which is the most airy. It's a lovely MTL. Dvarw's are known for their great flavor. They are easy to build on and maintain.

Others I would recommend would be the Kayfun lite 2019 (22mm and 24mm) and the Tripod. I have those and they're excellent. FT also sells both.

I've been running my SXK Dvarw DL FL at 40w since @Pigs post. No issues. A DL FL with the default AF insert can handle it fine.

Charlie, please forgive me, but what do you mean when you say "The open peek chimney..."??? I am not understanding, sorry.

The wick is fully saturated with juice. Same wick since Monday. My wick is on the tighter side in the coil.


I was comparing SXK DL FL parts with the OG parts at KHW Mods and I don't see any design differences between the two. I think SXK did a great job cloning the DL FL.

You and I have the SXK DL FL and mine has the 'never forget' top cap. It's installed on the PEEK chimney here...

A DL FL without the chimney top cap would flood. I'll bet your top cap is installed on the inside of the tank section. Like this one on my spare DL FL...

Next refill have a look. Take a little flat blade screw driver and pull it out. Lube the o-ring on the top of the top cap. Go heavy with VG like my previous pic. Then when you remove the deck the top cap will come with it. If it doesn't replace the lower o-ring on the top cap.

With Exocet wicking you don't want to push the tails too far back into the chimney. The wick tails should be sticking out of the PEEK chimney juice holes ~1mm.

You are right it must be stuck in the chimney. When I take my tank off it just leaves the peak insulator with a missing never forget top cap. I'll try and get it out later. It works fine when I put it back together but it's annoying as it obscures the fill port.

Stupid of me. I didn't think of that and just assumed that it was an SXK design change

I do not think there is any difference. All the cloners aim for 1:1's of an authentic RBA.

There definitely is a difference. Some copies of the originals are better machined with one brand compared to the other. The only problem is you just have to guess unless you know someone that's already tried and tested the differences between them.

What are some decent cheap single coil restrictive 2 mouth to lung type rta's that are out there right now? I wanted to at least be capable of a somewhat restrictive direct lung and not something like the Berserker or even as restrictive as the doggy style. Like restrictive but not super restrictive. I want to use it in a direct to lung fashion but I don't want it to be something I have to take really deep breaths with

There are several atties with adjustable airflow (under the coil--Hastur MTL (not the mini), Fresia (can be tricky to wick--some people complain about vapor/vacuum lock), the Dvarws (MTL and DL FL), Hellvape MD and Tripod. There are other MTL/restricted DL atties on the market but I haven't tried them, like the newly released Artemis by Cthulhu Mod.
