Ok so I got this no name SQ Arise clone today from FT - arrived after only 8 days door to door. As you guys know, I was super excited.

$21.21 SQ Arise Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 4ml / 316 stainless steel / 24mm diameter at FastTech - Free Shipping

First I want to make it clear that these comments relate to this no name clone. Not the authentic or other clones like the FSTK.

My first impression was that it looked ok but then I had a closer look before disassembling and cleaning. Plenty of rough edges and even loose SS shavings.

One spare parts bag contained the af inserts and chimney reducer, the other O rings.
You can see the crap quality of the af inserts below.

The chimney reducer had some type of glue or melted plastic that completely blocks it.

I want to thank @ShowMeTwice for his detailed description and photos of the parts and functions of the authentic Squape version. I referred back to this before I built - lucky I did.
My clone had an O ring missing on the top/outside of the deck. Would have been easy to miss this. SMT's photos and description made a point that this needed lubing before assembly. Luckily the spare parts bagggie had one that fit.

The main and most disturbing issue with this clone is the 510 pin.
When it is fully screwed in the pin doesn't protrude properly - so no good positive contact:

I had multiple SHORT and CHECK ATOMIZER error messages before I dug around and found a second O ring to push the 510 out just enough. Still this is just a dodgy, temporary fix.
I don't expect it to last or work on different mods. An unforgivable and dangerous flaw.

Also the coil I wound for this (6 wrap 2.5mm ID 2*28/36 Ni80 fused clapton) reads 0.8 Ohms on this atty. The same build always reads between 0.5 and 0.6 Ohms in other decks so there's an added resistance here. In the 510 pin or deck - bad components.

fasttech shouldn't sell crap like this in 2020

In fact don't buy it at all. Buy the original or the YFTK clone or whatever - just not the one I linked above.
And just as I was typing this my temporary 510 fix failed. So fuggit - it's time to have a vape on the trusty Dvarw!

Curious about what you ate as a kid,but do not eat for health reasons now.

I do recommend cold beets with onion and vinegar.

Can remember meat stews, rice pudding, jelly, evaporated milk, fish fingers.....noone was very healthy in those days...we just didn't know it killed you.... delicious or not.

Hey Shineys hope everyone has had a nice weekend and staying safe.

I’m really jonesing to buy something shiny but everything is starting to look the same a bit. I haven’t found anything that I have to have!! Most of the new mods I seen are pods which I’m not interested. I haven’t even found a stabwood that I’m lusting after lol!! !!

And I haven’t seen many new shineys posted here. I suppose I could take out some of my stash gear but there’s nothing exciting in there. I miss watching for vape mail!!!! It’s fun!

Has anyone seen anything that is “exciting” ? Mods? RBAs? Help a fellow Shiny lol!!

I know I never go off topic but had to share this with you guys. There's a type of wasp that visits our house and garden every summer called a spider eating wasp Cryptocheilus bicolor. They are large, aggressive and terrifying. I just killed this female in my son's bedroom 5 minutes ago. Probably 2 1/2 inches long

Apparently the sting of this wasp is excruciatingly painful. I'd much prefer to tangle with the giant huntsman spider in the photo than Cryptocheilus bicolor

I painted my sisters house for her in Sydney and i think that was the same wasp that was nesting in their gable. It was small so I waited until they were all inside and cut it off into a wide necked jar and slammed the lid on really quickly. Felt a bit sorry for them though as they suffocated

Thanks. I bought it from SM last year when they put their Luna's on clearance. It's not a 1-of-1 but it certainly is nicer than all but a couple of my 1-of-1's. I have a bunch of Luna's, more than I care to admit. About 1/2 were purchased via asMODus while the others came from SM on the cheap.

I've been watching, and admiring, your growing asMODus collection. You have some really nice ones. Way to go!

I'm sorry to hear about that Pigs. That really sucks.

Man, looking at your photos I don't understand how the noname MFR could pass that off as acceptable.

I would complain up a storm in their thread here and via FT messaging until they resolve this for you in a most satisfactory manner.

Hopefully FT, at the very least, refunds your money. They should IMO.

I know how you love your Prime's. Will be curious to hear your thoughts on the KFL19 after you've given her the goings over.

I wouldn't be able to pick one over the other. I love the JFC, top fill and AFC ring on the Prime. However I really like the smaller size of the KFL19. I'm used to, and don't mind, bottom fill from the OG KFL's, Russian's and Dvarw's.

Then again must have been the tides the ones that pushed us out of course and now dangerously close to the Aussies

Bigger? You got it, I've enlarged NZ's footprint in the world and pushed you slightly North. @AngeNZ will be upset with me because more north = warmer summers. Might be less windy though.
