So now might be a good time to share. My pesky lung cancer is back. I had a slice of my lung removed in February of this year. The slice took out the cancer. Then it was wait, get scans every few months and see if it returned. At the six month scan, something was there. Very small, two of them. Too small to be biopsied, wait another 3 months and get scanned again.
That scan was Dec 3 and the spots have grown. A lot. Now lots of tests, lung function and PET scans were ordered. Final result is more surgery, Jan 5th. More lung taken out. This time on the other side.
Until the surgery is performed and the stuff removed sent off to pathology we will not know.
Is this a small bit that was already there last time and not seen. This would make me still in stage 1.

Is this a spread (metastisized) from before and if so I am then stage 4. If this is the case Chemo will follow
I am sure I will be fine. I am strong and still walking my dog daily. DR says I will possibly be on oxygen when released from the hospital for awhile
