Yeah that’s how much I paid, bought it last year. Fortunately I still have about half a gallon. I made an order with River supply today, ran out of a couple things, wanted to try some FA. They only have 500 mls bottles of vg, I don’t usually buy that there, just thought I’d check. Glad I got that from Amazon.

Mixed up 120 mls of Charlie’s came stars clone, 480 mls for my SIL, and 240 mls of base. it’s nice to be able to just add some flavor on a whim and not have to put on a whole production.
Oh and I checked out that vapin art dot sale. Nothing really jumped out at me.

I just checked where I got my VG/pg order from locally. A year ago (1L PG obviously lasts me nearly a year ) it was $10nzd for a litre. Last week's order was $13nzd for a litre.

Converting that to gallons & USD
    5 litres is $49nzd or $34.50USD
    5 litres = 1.32 Gallons
My brain hurts, but that seems like it's still a lot cheaper in NZ for some reason, than the $49/gallon price over there
    I got it here:
    Propylene Glycol - USP Grade

That box is bonkers. Beautiful bloody barmy bonkers box. So all the mods inside are box mods now?

In the morning, the squonk mods take over it. In the afternoon, they get kicked out for the Mixx brigade. Gus the Grus lives in there permanently and stamps down on any riffraff behaviour.

Got my shot and home safe and sound! I got the Moderna, and I go back in 4 weeks for the next one :)
I get my second in a week. No reaction outside the a sore arm for about a day with the first one.

My SIL left it for the same reasons. He’s still loving teaching culinary in the high school votech department. They live in a small city, much better lifestyle than here. His kids did a lunch fundraiser (they won State and got to go to Epcot to rep Tenn). It was such a hit, they do it every Friday now. Sells out every week. It lets them push their creativity in meal planning.
I would love to be a chef/teacher at CSN. I really like teaching people just starting our and excited to learn.
The Friday fundraiser sounds like a lot of fun.

My family was always in the restaurant business.
From way back in the 80's when they had a restaurant in Winnipeg to the last one we had in White Rock BC in the late 90's.
To be honest i never liked it,early morning gotta get ready for kitchen prep and late nights leaving the kitchen clean after closing up...i did all that while going to highschool, yeah it sucked.
Could be that or it could be that i never had a good ''working'' relationship with my pops *shrug* i did learn to cook thanks to him and i do love to cook.
I started out in a family restaurant that has been tjere sinve 1970. I worked my way up from a dishwasher to a sous chef there. I was a chef in a locals hotel for a while until I got burned out. Then a Master Cook on the strip for 5 years. I had enough of it then and left to drive Uber. It's not just you culinary is a rough gig. Not just me either, a lot of chefs I know left to drive Uber

My mate Frank left cheffing for the same reason. Rough gig. Hours, stress. You guys deserve medals.

The kids have loved it. And so have the teachers and students. They’ve even let them cater some school meetings etc. Because it’s votech, he doesn’t have to have a degree in culinary arts, just x number of years doing it military/and or professional.
Pay is really good as are the benefits, and for the most part evenings and weekends off. Best part is he gets to share his love of cooking with a new generation. Maybe the schools there have similar programs in the less urban cities?
I would love for you and find a job you’re passionate about, that also leaves you enough time to enjoy your family.

    Morning shinies ;)

My drip tip order is in the PO Box :w00t:

    Sheer brilliance

    Seconded!

    Camera Gurus:

How do ya focus when your fingers are too frozen cold to partly depress the shutter button?!
Use manual focus and the timer... alternatively breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth (preferably lying down) for ten minutes.....improves my focus no end :D

    Good morning shinies

Two more Paramour's turned up yesterday and I'm going to build my gold Dvarw...well one of them....today.

@Pigs thanks for the tip. That's good news...I thought the adapter was being sold separately and I don't like squat drip tips :)

Have a good day everyone

I think you need to order a couple more boxes. Might make life easier for Gus Grus. ;)
