    Somewhere between here and there
I'm starting to get frustrated with the flavor production on the Siren 3. So far I've tried one each of the included .65 and 1.0 ohm SS coils that came with it. I get decent vapor but the flavor is weak and I've tried two different recipes in it that I vape daily. There are two other types of coils that were included so I'll try those before I review it but at this point I'm thinking of replacing the siren with a Vertex mtl rta.

Went through hoops to get the abyss but finally got one.
I was excited to try the EUC ceramic coils but I have to say I am just not a coil guy. Broke it in as recommended and used 24 hours before tossing and going to the Ether. Coil just had no taste and then a dull taste. Oh well.
Next to my favorite set up for scale. Excuse the dust on the odin dna fins. I have tried to get out the dust bunnies several times. Guess I will hv to take out the battery and use a small paint brush to clean it.
The Abyss is small but quite heavy in 21700 mode. Fits easily in the pocket but you better have a belt on! :)

    Looks good @pt91 .
You may know this but one thing a lot (nearly all) reviews of the Abyss missed is the 510 DT adapter.
That stubby little DT that comes with the kit is actually a little black delrin DT sitting tight in a steel screw-in adapter.
You can remove the delrin part and use your own drip tips if you want.

You are right. I monkeyed around with the supplied one and extra kit tip package. I think this one is the one that came with the Ether. I don't like shorty tips where I can feel my face on the mod/tank.
I have a 3mm ID fused clapton coil at .50 and rayon. Easy to build.
I really don't like having to use a 510 adapter to build or wick so we will see how it goes. The concept is great. Still getting used to holding and firing it too. Hopefully that gets more instinctive.

Hope you're enjoying the Ether. It's a daily vape for me. Love the flavour and bullet proof wicking.

Edit - I use a 3mm ID fused clapton in mine too. Also around 0.5 Ohms

I use a 2.5 Clapton in my Ether and the flavour is excellent. I can't quite understand your experience with the Euc coils as my experience with flavour is excellent. They do take a bit of breaking in though so maybe you got fed up too early. Once they are though they last and last. I always use the 0.5 coils whether it be Euc or rebuildables and wattage is low but they'll pump up a bit....try increasing the wattage a bit to 27 ish :)

I used a .5 EUC. Started at 18 watts and ran up to 30 later in the day. I will try another since I have 3 packs including some .3 coils. It looked fine when I took it out.
I only vape one flavor and I could barely taste it with the EUC vs Ether. I think I will try a totally different flavor next time I try the coils. I read so many positive things about them.

Ether has good flavor and no cons for me so far.

    Morning shinies ;)

What wattage are you vaping with those coils?

The tiny 30/38 at 20.5w on on a Mixx and the wee 32*2/38 around the same on the Pulse v2 in TC mode.

As for the 30*2/40 coils, depending how tight I've wicked - from 23.5-24.5w on a Mixx, and 25.5 watts on a Grus. My JK Mini packed a sad as it was claptonless, so I shoved one in this morning:

    And vapemail :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

expect to see better pics of it than this {Luna took it)

I'm already smitten. I threw in the 0.3Ω coil, primed it, filled it, grudgingly gave it 5 minutes and absolutely love it. I'm extremely glad I got a 5pk.

The device itself is lightweight, pocket friendly and going to be the perfect camera bag mod.

With the 0.3Ω coil, the flavour is great. With the airflow wide open - it's my perfect MTL draw. With the airflow half closed - it's my perfect RDL draw

Seems I made the old mind up. I'll enter the SBS market with the Kizoku Techmod. Seems like a solid device, but what I like most is the button placement...more natural hold for me.
I hold my mods as a hold my darling woman...with feeling and finesse ;)
I'm not inclined to grab an palm...if you get what I mean :D

Good. I've been wanting one of those too, so you can test it out. A couple of ppl here have them, and there's been no bad reports on it.

    Welcome to the club ;)
