The odd thing is, when I first put this coil in, I set the mod to 15W thinking it'd be on the higher end, and I started to get a burnt taste right off the bat. How is that even possible?

Not necessarily...it depends on the gauge....the heavier the gauge the longer the ramp up. The calculator is giving you the correct volts/amps for a fast fire.
Having said that different metals do ramp up more quickly than others....in order of speed for the same gauge....kanthal, SS, Ni80, Ti

I can't believe how many review samples are coming in. Anyone else feeling swamped with reviews? I got another one delivered today.

i only have the one for right now, but they are asking me for my next request before I even get the current item. I imagine if I got the reviews posted the same day or next that I received them, they’d start coming faster.

Just watched a couple of videos for the Arbiter Solo and it looks pretty good.
As a life long Star Wars fan i would have to get that atty just based on the name alone he he



I have heard it has gone thru a slight delay,think it has to do with the drip tip and its ''wobbly'' status,maybe they delayed it a bit to fix that *shrug*

Has a twist thingy in the cap that lets you switch from MTL to RDL and viceversa,think that has to do with the ''wobbly'' drip tip.

I never draw longer than a 4-5 second puff. If nothing's coming out at that point, I'll raise it up 5 or 10W. When I first installed that 1.13 ohm kanthal coil set at 15W, I fired it up for 4-5 seconds and it gave me a burnt taste. That was right after I primed it too. I can't imagine the wick wasn't completely saturated either, because I had juice flowing down into the center airflow slot and out of the juice well.

Is the only difference between the OXVA Arbiter RTA and Solo, the ability to convert from MTL to RDL? The RTA I have coming has a 810 on it. At least in the picture it does.

Nah, the calculator's right with it being at 51W. It's hitting beautifully now and the flavor is great. I'm just wondering how having it set at 15W could give me a burnt taste, and having it set at 51W hasn't yet. Seems odd.

Only thing I can think is there was some machine oil left on a leg or deck or something....or the wick inside the coil wasn't fully saturated.
