Is the only difference between the OXVA Arbiter rta and Solo, the ability to convert from MTL to RDL? The rta I have coming has a 810 on it. At least in the picture it does.

That and also the Solo is just a single coil deck, with the Arbiter 28mm RTA you can pop in 2 coils.
But yeah the switch thingy to go from MTL to RTL is exclusive to the Solo.

Nah, the calculator's right with it being at 51W. It's hitting beautifully now and the flavor is great. I'm just wondering how having it set at 15W could give me a burnt taste, and having it set at 51W hasn't yet. Seems odd.

i remember something similar with elevate_ not sure if it was @Letitia said something about the power not being high enough.. felt counterintuitive ah-knoh bodd edd worgdd..

I stopped reviewing when my cancer hit but yup I know exactly what you mean....always a Chinese package in the mail box and stress trying to test everything and get the reviews done. You pretty much have to give up your fave setups

Also...I got fed up with the pods too!!

There have been a ton of pods. That does get a little old. Some pod mods are decent though.

Luxe Q is a good one. No leaks, pull the pod and it’s bone dry inside. It’s about time to change the pod now, but it lasted all this time - what’s it been, 3 weeks since I posted my review? I ordered more pods from ft but I may pop in to the local shop and see if they have them.

Agreed. I collected a few of them and none of them were used a second time. They are just badly designed RBAs...IMO.
One that does impress me is the Aspire Prime pod RBA. Here it is on the left...as a comparison to the other midgets.
    View attachment 943539
Top view. It's a little bit bigger, and easier to build. Most importantly, it let's through enough air to make proper flavor....the midgets don't have any airflow. I still need glasses to build it, but hey, I need glasses to build anything...

It's the perfect little RBA for a pod setup.
I like the ursa quest rba quite a bit.
Good flavor, easy to build and capable of almost twice the airflow of the ether bridge on my abyss.
Although being 21700 its bigger than most pods, more AIO.

Wasn't me. I only used the elevate a few days and boxed it. Good rta but had others I liked better. I've been pretty much using the same build for several years so rarely have to dial in my wattage.

i only have the one for right now, but they are asking me for my next request before I even get the current item. I imagine if I got the reviews posted the same day or next that I received them, they’d start coming faster.

Sourcemore was sending two at a time but this time sent one. I’ve had stuff arrive already from voopoo, Vaporesso, geekvape, sourcemore, and Freemax. At least two or three expected next week. I’m not complaining but it’s odd how everything is coming close around the same time.

I haven’t been using mine. The k1 has been a good one. I just got the VapX Art. So far so good with it. It’s tiny.

    Morning shinies ;)

Thinking of you @AngeNZ with this massive deluge of rain predicted for you people down there...

We needed rain, but it's been nonstop for 24 hours and still hosing. We're fine here flooding wise, so I've got my fingers crossed for the rest of the SI

Wooooooow, I just checked steam engine to see how accurate the inputs were and the heat flux said 51W/7.6V for this 1.13 ohm build... I would have never raised the wattage that high. I thought for non-sub-ohm builds, people were often staying in the 10-20W range? I suppose the clapton vs. round wire has mostly to do with this?

Ignore completely the resistance with regard to wattage. Especially sub-ohm equalling high wattage, and high-ohm = low wattage.

Kanthal, Ni80 and SS316L all have higher or lower resistance for the same coil. So a 26g ss316L 3mm id, 6 wrap coil installed on a MTL atty has a resistance of 0.45ohms. And can be vaped at 15 watts or 25 watts, depending on preference. A 26g Kanthal 3mm id, 6 wrap coil installed on a DL single coil atty would be 0.87ohms. Same coil, two different wires.

The thicker the wire (and smaller the gauge) the more wattage is needed to heat it up. Claptons etc work in the same way. A 26*2/36 ni80 6 wrap fused clapton needs a lot more wattage than a 32*2/38 ni80 fused clapton.

If you have an android, this is a brilliant app at giving you a guide to what wattage is needed for your coil:

Brilliant, thank you  I had my lens cloth in a bag in my pocket, but completely forgot about it. I saw the frost on the outside of the lens, but didn't check the lens itself until I was inside. Live and learn.

I'd read a tip somewhere to use the self-timer as a poor man's shutter release, and I was using that, which definitely made a difference. And I was trying to zoom in too far, you're right there. It's got the equiv. of a 24mm-840mm. Less zoomy-zoom next time.

Here's some other pics of the blood moon. You can spot the professional photographers a mile away, and the non-pros who've 100% saturated:

I would bring out a lawn chair and a folding table of my favorite mods and just ogle all day. Rotate once in a while and check out something else stunning. And of course keep the zombie horde in my peripherals.:headbang:

There's a huuuge difference between the OG dual coil Arbiter and the new single coil. The innovative deck and chimney of the OG which create a top then bottom/around airflow isn't passed onto the single coil's airflow and deck design. In my opinion, they shouldn't have called the new single coil "Arbiter"; the new single is too much of a departure.

I don’t have either but appreciate the information. I talked with Justin about doing reviews and he said there wasn’t enough interest on Ecf. I sure have seen a lot of people posting about Oxva stuff. He was kind of cocky about it and turned me off about their products. With the piles and piles of vape gear I have, I don’t own one of their products.
