I've got a hiatus hernia and it's a pia....I have the fibro tube every six months just to check all ok. If you have it without general it's a bit uncomfortable. I always pull mine out so I have mine under general now....you'll be fine I expect

Still not 100% that i have Hiatal Hernia until they put the camera down there but the doc said that i check all the boxes so its pretty sure.
List of stuff i can't eat or drink didn't really make my mood any better either...i mean i don't drink (regularly i mean) so that is cool i can take that out of the equation with no problems.
Smoking same thing,showed the doc my Colossus+Kylin Mini V2 when she asked me if i smoked,she pulled out a mech mod with a custom engraving on it he he

Going to have to give up coffee...and onions which is like a main pillar of a lot of recipes i cook,oh well guess i have to go thru some changes to get better.
If you're getting reflux then yes you've got to change your diet but not necessarily following the docs advice....I was given the same sheet...it seems.
I only get the reflux at night so I need to watch my main evening meal. I have the same breakfast and lunch everyday and it seems that the evening meal is the culprit. Having said that I still have food cooked with onions as a base but I have had to cut out anything that seems to trigger it. Cooked tomatoes are a big no no for me
But then again I can eat a pizza sometimes. I still have two cups of coffee in the morning but not too strong.I suppose what I'm trying to say is smaller meals and eliminate your triggers.....hope that helps
I started getting GERD about 6 years ago and I had the scope when I went in for my first colonoscopy.
Hiatal Hernia. Little flapper wouldn't fully close. No damage caused by the acids thankfully. I changed my diet and it helped a bit but not enough. Tried a few OTC acid reducers without much help.
Finally tried 20mg of Nexium everyday and that made a huge difference.
I still stay away from Fried foods, black pepper, orange juice, etc but I am so much better now.
I drink two big cups of coffee a day and no problems now.
I hope it gets resolved for you my friend.

I wish I had a doctor like that. My regular doctor retired and and I've only been in a couple times since then. I can't wait to see the reaction when I answer him when he asks if I smoke. Most of the time I get a nose turned up or the standard " have you thought about quitting vaping?". I got a new hygienist at my dentist office and she asked that. I told her no and really didn't feel like explaining everything to her.
Well at least you've learnt there's no point in withholding anything with me around....tell herself that we try to keep you in line but it's virtually impossible

So it sounds like you may have it very soon. I haven't tried anything besides the ether in my abyss yet. Since I rewicked and thinned the tails I've been getting no dry hits but kind of wish I could get a little more airflow even though I've got it wide open. I wonder if I did a 2.5mm coil instead of a 3.0 like I have in it if that would let more air through? I may try the GTX bridge I got with it this weekend. I have a bunch of the gtx coils.
