Ok here are some first impressions:

The build quality and external finish (anodised aluminium) are excellent. The door fits snugly and has zero gaps or movement. In fact, when I cover the air intake with my thumb and take a puff, there is no air sneaking around the outside at all. Pretty much a vacuum.

The main flaw on mine is on the inside - a manufacturing mark of some sort on the aluminium around the edges of the screen. Maybe it has something to do with the anodising process - it doesn't look like regular machining marks. It doesn't bother me personally but some people might be annoyed by it. Slipped through in the first-run QC rush maybe.

You can see it in this photo (the lighter parts of the "swirl" are little ridges catching the light. There are no scratched or silver bits):

The two main benefits of this design over the BB are the super smooth af (maybe the honeycomb holes?)
and the fact that the chipset is on the same horizontal plane as the boro.

Leaking from RBA's onto the positive pin of BBs and down into the electronics has caused many a problem - and yes even DNA's can blow from this.
With the Delro this can't happen. Any leaks that got through the pos pin would end up in the battery cavity. I guess this could cause issues but much less likely to do damage than juice on a SEVO or DNA board.

I'm not a hundred percent convinced of SXK's claim of 2200mAh battery life but need to do more testing to have a better idea.

Bottom line is I love it so far! As soon as the planets align I'll be buying a DNA version.

If anyone's interested in size comparisons with the Abyss, Billet Box and Boxx, let me know and I'll post (more ) photos.

Useful....thanks Ted. My only further question is why do you say you're not convinced with the 2200 mah.....is power dropping off a cliff. How long does the lipo last on one charge?

The first day it seemed to drain fast but I did vape a lot.
I've reset the puff counter now on a fresh charge. I'll compare the number of puffs I get with that to a 2000mAh 18650 (Samsung 20s) in a SEVO 70 BB clone and see what happens. Not exactly scientific (sorry Ange!) but it should be a bit of a yardstick.

I can't remember who gave you the lipo info but whoever it was said it would be better if they'd used an 1800 mah. My guess is that the 20s battery will last way longer as it will slowly drain all the way down as opposed to the lipo....will await with interest.

It's partly why I've held back on getting one but if I do it'll definitely be the DNA version.

@ShamrockPat is the lipo Guru.

If you like the form factor of the Delro I wouldn't let the battery stop you.
I'm curious about the true mAh rating v the manufacturer's spec. Could be dead on.

I agree though, probably better to get the DNA version if you can afford it but none of my SEVO 70 mods have ever had a problem with the board. I don't use TC much so can't common on that.

For me the battery must at least go all day with my vaping level.

I'm also interested in the access to the lipo and ease of replacement, etc. It's a must for me as the lipo's going to fail sometime for sure.

Thanks Ted

I spose it depends much you vape and if you rely on one device to last a full day.
I use a few so I don't mind charging during the day.

On the battery replacement for the delro here's a useful guide :

delro d60 Lithium-Polymer Battery Cell

I've got seven mods on the go so charging not an issue for me either but if I go out all-day and want to take it with me....maybe an issue there. I don't know.. .it may well be a no go for me....chucking another 18650 in is so convenient. Let's see what you come up with on the battery longevity front. I guess you'll have to vape the Delro exclusively for a day.... don't worry if you're not prepared to do that T. :)
