Rough week, but I’m feeling better today. I need to get out and start on the lawn before it gets hot out. Sorry neighbors, but I’m not having a heat stroke over it. Looks like it should be cooling down next week and I am ready for that. It feels like it’s been in the 90s forever!

This is a surprise so I can’t show it to my family yet, but you can keep a secret, right? I made this dress for my middle granddaughter. She selected the fabric. I think it came out perfectly and I can’t wait to see it on her!

I got ‘the outside’ done, that’s the part outside the fence, push mowed, weed whacked, and leaf blower to clear the sidewalk. Took me 1.5 hours. I have 3 80V batteries for those tools and ran all of them down till they died lol.

OMgosh. Up until now you have only shown yourself to be a crafty type sew person, in reality, you are a seamstress. Sewing is such a lost art

I come by it honestly, my mom and grandma were both handy with a sewing machine or hooks/needles. My grandma used to work doing free hand embroidery, like Boy Scout badges. That was some talent. My mom used to make our clothes - not all but a lot. The granddaughter this is for wants to learn so I hope to have her over the holidays and send her home with some of her own handiwork.

I mowed, walked the lawn with my new aerator shoes, seeded the spots that needed it and weed eated and blew the driveway and sidewalk off.
