Steve is Steve the designer

How is he? He had been quite unwell for a while there
Ok, so Steve is that Steve. Thanks! That's good to know. He seems ok to me from his texts and he is posting in the Haku FB Group.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 2-3 hundred kilometres away from the City of Melbourne and that was where any damage was done. Melbourne City Central just shook like crazy and no damage at all:wub:
Saw this at the Seismology Research Center in Australia.

"2021 September 22 @ 9:15am AEST, NE of Woods Point VIC Magnitude 5.8
This earthquake occurred approximately 15 kilometres northeast of Woods Point, approximately 130 kilometres east of Melbourne, VIC. This event was felt widely across Melbourne and as far away as Canberra, ACT. Many aftershocks have been recorded, the largest of which was a magntiude 4.2 just over 15mins after the mainshock."

Or @NolaMel could swap her Dani sbs for a new B'adapt. I'll buy the B'dapt and make sure it works then we can meet in the middle of a bridge at the dead of night and make the exchange.
Hold your horses T. I want in on this action. I'll get 2 B'adapt's and throw in my wonderful Paramour SbS for @NolaMel's Dani SbS.

When are we doing this? Oh yeah, what bridge and how tall is it? I only ask because Mel has a "thing" for bridges. Best to make it a short bridge, like no longer than 30.5 meters, and one that is low over the water or ground, like 1-2 meters. :D

Personally I would be up for meeting on the Sydney BridgeClimb in the middle. Look it up Mel, you might be game for that. ;)

most of my stabwoods are blue, purple and a few green ones.

so I totally agree with you that I need a raspberry swirl one lol!!! I love that description! Makes me want to sing about a raspberry beret :lol:!!

    Morning shinies ;)

I've got a refurb. kindle voyage arriving today. I'm treating it as a Shiny because a) I've wanted the Voyage model for ages, but it's old and no one here stocked it. And b) I could've bought a z80 instead!

It was one of those ones that can be heard coming...like a runaway train, and then that mighty bang as it passes. I hate those. I can live with those silent rock and roll ones...i've actually enjoyed some of them....

Yep! Christchurch big ones were mainly at a shallow depth, which is runaway train, lots of noise and shaking. Plus depending on the strength and centre - major, major damage.

Before them I'd only felt the deeper depth, silent rock and rollers - which like you, I thought were fun. I still like the lil ones. But I'm a bit gun-shy now, after those two years of Christchurch aftershocks.

I forgot, how long were they lasting? I used the review sample I got for quite a while and bought another one and neither failed on me but I always have 10-15 in rotation with the constant flow of incoming review samples. I really did like the Thelema pod quite a bit.
I loved the little POD. First one lasted about 4 months, the second one a little less. Daily rotation and my go to for out and about

    I was thinking this bridge:

    Sidu River Bridge, China

It's only the tallest bridge in the world. Maybe we could all have a bungy-jumping party to celebrate the midnight hand over. @NolaMel can jump first (holding the B'adapts out in front of her like Olympic torches), you go second (holding out your favourite mod - the Paramour) and I promise I'll follow on. I really will.
I'll be looking after the Dani SBS to keep it safe. @charlie1465 will be in his hang glider with night vision goggles on, filming the whole thing.

Deal. But I haven't seen the bridge yet... hang on... searchin'

bugger. the nice photo won't upload.
Found it! I would totally bungee jump from that bridge and wear a GoPro to film it. It would be great fun and a major thrill. I've bungee jumped before but not from that kind of height.

I kind of think Mel would probably let you have her Dani SbS if you jumped first. She would likely be filming it all from the safety of the valley below while holding a large net to safely catch her Dani. :D

    Somewhere between here and there
I little update on the Arbiter solo. The wick taste went away and I’m getting very good flavor now. I’m liking it with the top control set to Rdl and only the large slot closed on the airflow control ring. It’s a very nice RDL.

Is it the Arbiter or the Arbiter Solo that is good? I am tired of not building and want to get something I can build on again

Arbiter OG is a dual coil, Arbiter Solo is single coil. The only thing about the Solo is it's very much in the restricted side of an RDL. It took me a few days to adjust to it, going from my 4mm id Dvarw DLs.

But other than that, it's easy to coil, wick, rewick and fill. Along with awesome flavour

If you want more air, have a look at the Thunderhead Creations Artemis RDTA. I know both @Letitia and @DeloresRose rate theirs highly.

I must be an airhead :grr:

Anyway, I have important geeky questions to ask! Since it's a combination bottom/side airflow deck, what coil height did you go with. A or B?

I would say mine is closer to B. I was definitely higher than the posts. This was my first time building on it.

I did my first one A, and the flavour wasn't there. I did B next rewick and flavour galore. It just felt weird as I'm used to bottom airflow RTA decks.
