    Somewhere between here and there
Hello everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and staying watch. It’s cold as F here in Boston!

Finally got a chance to setup the Lost Vape Centaurus BF and the Centaurus Solo rda today.

I have the original stabwood Centaurus dna which is very much like the Paranormal with softer edges. I sold my Paranormal because I didn’t like the sharper edges. It wasn’t comfortable in my hand like the Therion is.

Anyhow this new one isn’t just a copy of the original Centaurus with a squonk bottle added on.

It’s kind of an odd setup with the fire button in front and the rectangular squonk bottle located beneath it. The display is now on the side of the mod. It’s a bit awkward really. Hopefully as I continue to use it I’ll get use to where everything is laid out.

The Centaurus Solo rda is single coil with very decent flavor. I like the deck build. I have a couple of rdas now that are similar. It’s super super easy to build and wick. It’s a no brainer and perfect for new rda users.

So far I like it. Hopefully it’ll be more intuitive as I keep using it.

I hope you get used to it. I didn’t love the rda. I’ve been running the Helheim rdta with the squonk pin on mine.

    Morning shinies ;)

There's plenty of comparison pics, info on the rba and the device itself in this thread at EcigsSA:
    https://www.ecigssa.co.za/pulse-aio-kit-vandyvape.t74634/page-2#post-948573

I want one, now that I've got the BB Bug!
Yeah interesting discussions there about the Pulse. I'm sure its a goody, but the size worries me. The SXK BB I have is already a bit of a chunky monkey for my liking...and the Pulse is even bigger....but hey that's just me
    I also aren't a 21700 fan..for the most part. I love my 18650s :thumb:
What I really appreciate is the electronics being protected (against juice leak) by being sealed, and placed on the opposite side so juice can't leak there.
I read on that thread one guy has a dead Cthulhu AIO because of juice leaking :w00t:...and the Cthulhu aren't cheap. So yeah much to ponder for me before I decide on which one I get...but at this stage the Delro is whispering loud ;)
All I really want is a small(ish) mod (with a good chip) that can carry the Orbit..and the Qbix (will get that later). That would suit me for wee while when it comes to BB style devices.

Not sure if that's the correct terminology.
It's what I call the cuttout where the Boro sits. It's probably got a real name but I don't know it.
Anyway Fred, good news. Just checked and I haven't had any build up of juice in the tank well since I posted hours ago. Non-stop vaping since then. Maybe the slightly thicker wick tails fixed it.
It's just part of the frame I think....Boro recess is my term. This website is a fantastic resource...

    Morning Shinies

I've been doing so much DIY juice that I haven't been on here for a while. Nice to see so much BB discussion again.
I have 5 rba's on last count and 5 drop in coil bridges but mostly the old ones. My favourite is still the vapesnail and shell but I love the Qbix too.

The Dope looks to be an excellent bridge and it's on my list but I've been happy with what I have tbh....and although the rabbit hole is deep I haven't fallen that far :D

I've kind of got enough gear to keep me happy  At the moment I'm running the Qbix in my Delro clone, the Nautilus Aio in my Boxx and my Vapesnail in my BB but my main drivers have been my Dvarv's, Cabeo, Kumo and Brunhilde.....partly due to switching flavours so much....so much gear, so much semi retired....but not forgotten

Hope everyone's well and I'll be back asap

    Me too.
I've got plenty of 21700 mods but I prefer the more compact size of single 18650 mods for the way I vape.
It's easy enough to change out a battery. It's the main reason I'm not too interested in a Pulse AIO.

    Hiya folks.

I am in dire need of some feedback regarding the Lethal RTA,i am tagging those that i know for sure that own one @AngeNZ @Fidola13 @Letitia and i think @hittman but if i missed anyone and you want to chip in i would greatly appreciate it.

So this is the thing, top cap is way way i mean waaaayyy scrunchy, the force i need to apply so i can take it off and screw it back in does not seem normal.
Been like this from the beginning,at the time i thought the usual you know? takes time to break in.
Looked closely at the o-ring and it looks fine,i even compared it to pics of the top cap i found online and they look exactly the same.

Something is just off,my other atty the Z Sub Ohm 2021 from Geekvape is soooo smooth,i mean i can use 2 fingers to take off the cap and thread it back on but the Lethal RTA actually requires me to use my whole hand and close it down in a fist like shape to actually get the top off or screw it in.

Is it supposed to be like this or you folks don't have this problem?
Performance wise apart from that i have had no issues, not even leaking i mean this thing is a beast but the scrunchy top cap is starting to piss me off...and it's not like it's the first time i have had a problem with a QP Design atty.

    *cough Juggerknot MR cough*

Apart from that not much to tell, waiting anxiously for my Pulse AIO.
Been looking around at Boro's and dang....some of those are really expensive.
Friend from the vape shop in Seville said these are his top sellers:

VapeSnail para DotAIO Pod by Atmizoo | ATMIZOO VAPESNAIL SINHUMO SEVILLA

Pioneer Insider by BP Mods | BP MODS PIONEER INSIDER EN SINHUMO SEVILLA

And i also talked with my other friend from another vape shop and they sell these exclusively (as in they are the only shop in Spain that sells them)

Wickd Bridg D2 Panda Atemporal - Vapeototal

But oh boy almost 200 euros?¿ ouch!! yeah a little too rich for my blood.

Hopefully i will get my Pulse AIO by the end of this month and then see if i am a BB man or not, meanwhile i am watching some BB videos and reading reviews.

Hope you all had a good weekend, cheers :)

I haven't got a lethal but sounds like threads to me. Have you had a close look at them??

I haven't got a lethal but sounds like threads to me. Have you had a close look at them??

Oh yeah about that, forgot to mention about the threading.

I put on my Head Light (like bikers use, helps for building decks) and with my glasses on i looked closely and it looked ok.
FYI i got sensible fingertips...hmm that sounds kinda weird lol but yeah i passed my finger along the threads of where the top cap is supposed to go and it felt smooth.
Also tried some TP and slowly slid it along the threads and not a single mark was there, the threads inside the top cap is another issue altogether since the way it's designed there is no way to brush your finger along the threads but it also looked good from what i can tell.

Now on friday and because i like to be sure it's the RTA and not me i asked my neighbor to give me a hand,a second opinion if you will.
Nice Swedish couple and my friend, well he likes to paint those mini figurines, stuff like LOTR or Warhammer etc etc so he has a nice setup on his desk and a very very cool Magnifying Visor so we gave that a try and yeah it all looked good.

Soo...i am drawing a blank, will wait to see if anyone else has the same issue,if they don't then i know it's on my end and i will have to contact the store on Monday, but yeah pretty let down on these QP attys so far.

QP is sadly bad at designing user friendly top caps though the MR is better (but still stiff). The Lethal for me is stiff enough to be tedious but not crunchy. Maybe gently file the grooves a tiny bit?

It's a different type of top cap than the screw off top caps most of my tanks have. I think of it as almost a bayonet style, which can stop bottom air attys leaking after filling.

It's a pushdown click, and a half turn to tighten. Mine were both stiff for the first few times. But now they click into place and screw shut easily - the threads don't feel chunky at all.

If yours is that bad, switch out the o-ring. Lube it up with VG, and try not to force the threads.

Yeah for me a AIO is all about compactness...and a 21700 battery negates that.

I really love the original BBV boro tanks. Never had a problem with the gasket and appreciate the clever design. Love the sliding glass door - no idea why.

In a Boro, my favourite RBA would be the Haku Xeta. I love the Mobb mini too but I find it hits a sweet spot and then the flavour drops a bit. That's probably just the way I build, wick, vape etc. Used to like the vapeshell and the steamtuners insider too.

Of the all in one tank/RBAs, my favourite for a long time has been the Qbix. Seems bullet proof and the 3.5mm af pin suits me well.
Then the Orbit came along...now my number one.
Still like the Snail but it's been a while since I used it.

I haven't tried any of the Wick'd rbas and would also like to try the Pioneer Insider.

Good times for BB/boro stuff now. So much to choose from and not as expensive as they used to be.

I found myself scanning your post and dropping every last one of those things that I could find in a cart.

So yeah this afternoon i switched out the o-ring and tried it out and it's still really hard to twist.
I am always careful when screwing on the top caps of my attys so i am 100% sure i did not overlap them threads in any moment.

Will give a call to the shop on monday and see how it goes,I'm way past the 14r day warranty they have in the shop so maybe i will have to talk with QP myself, not sure...will have to wait and see how it goes.

Shame really...i do love them attys from QP Design but this is the second one i have had problems with so yeah no buying the same brand again.

So how did everyone's else weekend go?

I think I’ve figured out the “best” way and probably the intended way to hold the Centaurus Bf so that it’s not awkward to use.

Holding it with the display facing outward or towards me and using my 1st finger to trigger the fire button and my other fingers to squeeze the squonk bottle. There is a nice comfortable ledge above the display to rest my thumb on.

Its actually now quite comfortable to hold and use. It’s just a bit different from how I usually hold squonker mods. I like this much more now.
