    Vapemail.:banana::rickroll:

My stormtrooper BXR arrived today from 3Fvape.
Feels nice to hold, chip fires fast and the quality of the finish is good but has some rattle in the fire button. Battery cap threads are smooth and the door is tight. No play at all.
Overall first impression is excellent, especially for a USD$55 mod.

With the side and front inlets, the air is more open than any of my other boro mods including the Boxx.

It's smaller than I thought it would be. Here it is next to a delro for comparison:

I guess this could fall under Shiny or Stocking Up, but feels more like a Shiny even though I wasn't really looking for it.

I stopped at this one store that is a little farther out than my typical travels take me to see if they had any new RTA stock since my last visit a couple of months ago. They didn't.
They also carry some mechs which is a rarity any more in my parts, so I was browsing at those and chatting with one of the guys there.
They have a few Purge mods and there were some little red pouches with them and then I noticed a black one.
    528 Custom Vapes Goon.
I've heard a lot about the Goons and figured I'd missed the boat so I asked if that really was a Goon in there. He said he wasn't sure what was in there, and then took it out to see.
    It was a Goon, a v1.5.
I remember seeing somewhere that some versions are considered better than others and couldn't remember which was which but I grabbed it anyway.
I think from looking online at pics when I got home that it should have had a bag of spares, but there were none in the pouch.
I'm not up to speed with RDAs so I imagine there are many better ones out there now but I'm happy that I found this one.

I ended the day by buying an atty, they send with dhl express, should be at the collection point on Monday-Tuesday.
Actually one I wasn't going to buy until next year, but I got bored
    Which atty did you buy?

Nice one! I've got a couple of the og Goons from when I was into dripping dual coil clouds. The build quality and attention to detail is top shelf (love the engraving!) and the O-ring tolerance is spot on. Before designers added the stop points on rda top caps the O ring tolerance was key.
I just pulled one out of its little black pouch and had a look - serial number 27655. Shows how popular dripping was.

    Morning shinies ;)

@Pigs can you do a pic of the Boxx next to your Bxr sometime. Not that I'm looking or anything.
No worries Ange. If I were you I'd grab a bxr before they all sell out. Who knows if they'll do another run.

WOW, I dodged a bullet...a anti aircraft bullet.
I just went from Clever Me...to Dumb Ahole.
    Here's the story...
I've been using the BXR for some time, and loving it....its basically all i've been using the last two weeks. Fitted out with the Ambition Mods Bishop 3 Boro bridge. Its a superb bridge....silent airflow with two air inlets at the bottom.
    IMG_20220827_100509.jpg

I like it without the cover plate...gives me better grip...yeah i'm weird like that;)
Problem with Bishop 3 is the back airflow isn't that efficient inside a Boro device...don't understand why they designed it that way. The back inlet can be blocked with a plug provided...but I want two inlets...it works better.
Soooo I drilled a hole in the back of the BXR aligned with the back airflow of the Bishop 3...and it made a huge difference. Instantly no more condensation or the occational juice leakage.
As I said, i've been using it like this and Loving it...but I was planning to cut a slot at the back to...for better airflow to the other boro bridges. It stops the dreaded condensation.
Here's the mark where I would've put the slot
    IMG_20220827_100521~2.jpg

This morning I received a PM from Saint @Pigs informing me to be careful not to drill holes in the back of the BXR...as the power button wire is inside the back panel.
Right here is the bullet I missed...by a few millimeters
    IMG_20220828_084159.jpg

Damn...who would've thought they would drill (or cast) a micro hole inside a wall to run a wire ???
Anyway....a Huge Thank You my Friend.
I can get up now, as my wobbly legs are starting to function again.

Here you go Ange. I'd say the Aspire build quality is on another level to 5AVape but I still think you'd like a bxr.

Wow the size difference is more than i was expecting. I love the curves it has. Thank you

    Operation Bxr
I have a stormtrooper in a cart at FT. I did some reviews there to get my rebate points above 10. Once they go through I'll get it converted to a $10 gift cert. If after all that time and I haven't bought something else instead  - then I'll order the stormtrooper.
