According to my inventory file I have 12 Picos. One of the first I got, almost as old as yours, is still running daily and looks as beat up as yours. I have 3 where the screens have dimmed way down and one that eventually went completely blank. One had sat in its box never used for years and it was already well dimmed when I first fired it up. Maybe the later Picos had lower quality screens.good afterNoon people......
pictured below is my original eleaf Pico 75W. i purchased it when they were initially released in late 2015 or early 2016. it still sees daily use, dripping in TC via Arctic Fox.

the body paint is heavily worn on all sides. a few years back i thought about getting a wrap for it.
but then i thought "i effing love my worn little Pico, it's like me, aged", so no wrap then. LOLz

the display is still very bright, it's as bright as any of the unused new ones in my stash. the paint on the fire button has worn out, revealing the copper metal below. LOLz
when fasttech <<<RIP>>> was still "among the living" i purchased some spare Pico boards and displays. i have yet to have a Pico board fail or a display dim or fail on me.
shortly after receiving my first pico (pictured) i bought many more. for my stash (or maybe I'm just a vape hoarder!). LOLz
that original Pico is going on 10-11 years. and that, in my opinion (which truly means diddly-squat) tells the true tale of a high-quality mod.
then again, what the eff do i know.

I liked the look of the ones with copper top and bottom pieces. But the copper plating caused the battery cap to build up nasty looking deposits on the threads. They required frequent cleaning to keep a good connection.
I did pick up some replacement screens from FT. Took the board out of one to replace the screen but it had to be soldered to the board, Looked like the screens I got were plug in style. I read that later Picos had boards with a built-in socket for the screens. I vaguely recall someone (@Tor R ??) actually managed to solder a screen on to the board.
Now I mainly use them for trying new mixes. 4 identical setups, Picos with KFL's, loaded with four versions of a mix.

The earliest book form dates back to the Southern Song dynasty (1127–1279). Prior to that it was part of the great Chinese oral tradition. It's still very popular in China (and elsewhere).
This version, by Anthony C. Yu, is considered (by most) to be, perhaps, the most accurate ancient Chinese to English translation. Prior western scholarly translations are considered to be, ummm, weak and inaccurate. No surprise, as translating ancient Chinese characters to English is no easy task! It took Mr. Yu eight years to translate.
Should keep me occupied for a bit.

Yep, I had to solder, it's easier than we think to do it.
They had 3 versions of the chipset on the Pico 75 box mod.
One where the screen is soldered to the chipset (was very common before, and even nowadays there are some manufactors who still do it)
One where the screen is mounted in a single clip quick mount (it has its weaknesses in that the screen can be replaced 5-10 times before the wires that are supposed to connect to the screen have lost their rigidity)
And the last one where they have USB-C and no firmware upgrade option.
I was thinking about old mods after the conversation about Picos. In some ways my favorite was the iStick 40. Only had one. My GS used it for a couple of years when he was staying with us, he rode a bicycle and dropped it on the tarmac several times. It lasted around 6 years of daily use and abuse before the battery became worthless. Kept it longer than I should have because I couldn't bring myself to throw it out.
I love Provaris. Solo is good and reliable. Now I use a couple of Provaris, a Solo, a Z80, and a Pico. Also a BB, but I don't use it much because it's more work to rebuild. Lots of spares in the tub. Given I'm 75 and vaping less and less I'll never run out of gear. Probably never buy another mod.
I did get a handful of other cool mods which are all sitting in the stash tub under my bed.
Talking of old stuff, last week I found a Case pocket knife which I lost years ago. No different than a Swiss Army knife really but it was given to me used 30 years ago by a now deceased friend and thought it was gone forever. Cleaned it up and sharpened it, now it's sitting in my rebuilding kit box.
