Went to a party held by our GD's husband's grandparents. It was at a small school attached their church, they have been doing them there for 23 years. The church provided workers to get the turkey and mashed potato cooked, About 50 people all members of their huge family, some of them had driven in from other states. They divided us into inlaws (members of their direct family tree) and outlaws (relatives of family member's spouses), they got different colored badges. Lots of people brought food contributions. It was a great meal. Supposed to start at 11.00 with dinner at 12.00 but the food wasn't ready until 3.00. 15 different types of wine, they are catholics so booze is OK. Her previous husband was a born again, catholics are a lot more fun. Then they were going to have games, everything from euchre to basketball, but we were burned out by then so we left after the food.
We were relatives of a family member's wife so we were classified as outlaws.
